one thing I did find funny was this comment about Cinci's non conference schedule:
Cincinnati plays one of the country's most difficult nonconference schedules, including Miami (Ohio) at home, Oklahoma at Paul Brown Stadium in Cincinnati and road contests at NC State and Fresno State.
at Miami of Ohio? NC State has been down as has Fresno compared to the height of their success early in the decade. I understand all the games are on the road, but its not exactly a murderer's row...

And this is in no way a slam on UC, just thought it was a funny comment.

I didnt catch the whole list and dont know if I heard right, but I believe 97.1 reported earlier that Pryor is #1 on Scout's Preseason Heisman list.

Scout has Florida at #2???? and Boise at #8?????

Scout has been a joke for awhile, I rarely if ever read anything they put out anymore

I agree UC's OOC schedule isn't one of the most difficult in the country. Yeah the trip to Fresno is long, but Ryan Matthews is gone and they are a shell of the team they were last year. Oklahoma is the only real test. Miami OH is irrelevent and have been for a long time.

South Florida has one hell of a nonconference schedule... @Florida and @Miami. Both teams are solid and will be tough to win. South Florida is so sketchy at times. They always have talent, but have trouble playing well week in and week out. Those games should be fun to watch though.

No...breaking in a new QB means they need to prove they're worthy of a #2 spot.

Top 10 I could buy, #2 is a joke.

Florida and Texas both need to be lower as they both have to replace good senior QBs. That's not really even an argument.

Agreed. I have no problem with either of those teams being in the top 10 or even top 5, but #2 and #3 is a bit of a stretch. Both teams are breaking in new QB's. At least with Texas we got to see that their new QB has some talent with the way he played in the National Title game (yes, he made so very bad mistakes but also some very good plays. As the the commentators kept saying, it was a gutsy performance). With Florida they are replacing a three year starter and one of the greatest college football players of all time. This new guy could be amazing, but there will still be a drop off. I just have a hard time seeing either of those two teams at #2 or #3 by the end of the season.

I also think Boise should be higher, but I don't think they should be #2 like a lot of people have them. Then again, I don't know that there is a true #2 team coming into this season. There's Alabama then everyone else. That doesn't mean there won't be a strong contender to Alabama, I just don't think there's a clear contender yet. Boise may be the most proven team with the most coming back though, so perhaps they do deserve the #2 ranking.

The guy is pretty much right. Outside of Ingram there is no clear cut favorite to win it this year and since he won it last year he'll need to have a vastly better season to win it again (if Tebow couldn't win it twice he's not going to win it twice). If Ohio State does go undefeated and Pryor doesn't have horrible numbers, there's a good chance he'll win. Next to Ingram he probably does have the most Heisman hype coming into the season.

God there's a lot of UF fans on here.

I suppose that some are bandwagoners, but that's to be expected.

I'm just surprised at how many there are.

I promise you QB will not be the issue. This seasons success rides on how well the defense plays. The offense is loaded with talent. Talks of Jeff Demps, Chris Rainey, Andre Dubose and Deonte Thompson being on the field at the same time. That is scary how much speed is going to be out there at one time. Add in the fact the o-line should be dominating, and Brantley will do just fine.

I don't buy Cincinnati as a top 20 team. Maybe I'm just focusing too much on the loss of Kelly.

That Oklahoma game though should be a fun one to go to. If Cincinnati as a city in general, not just UC, cannot fill PBS it is a serious knock on how this city views college football. UC fans claim they deserve nicer facilities, well this is there chance to prove it. 60k or bust.

^^^the Oklahoma game will be sold out... guaranteed.

Cincinnati will have the most exciting offense in the big east and probably the country. Look at the talent at WR and QB. Throw in Pead at RB and a decent offensive line and theres no way they don't average at least 35 points per game.

Butch Jones is similar to Kelly in all right ways. Similar offense, but he's switching to a 4-3 D which is better for our current roster. Should help against the run (we were terrible against the run last year). Butch is also a players coach. They have all bought in and looked spectacular in spring practice/game.

I really don't think that the Oklahoma game will be a sell-out. I'm expecting about 45,000.

You know just as well as I do how retarded most in this city are. Will the majority even know that the game is at PBS? Granted I am contradicting myself by saying I'm going to my first UC game in 1.5 years, so maybe attendance will be good.
