Cabrera ruins a great throw by Hernandez, with a great job by Leake to stymie a great jump by the runner.

Is that 2 unearned runs for Leake? Or do they assume he would have been safe at second and give the earned run to Leake?

Like the defense won the game for the Reds Friday night, it is costing them dearly tonight. Leake handles the the last two batters excellently to get thru the 6th 2-2 with 100 pitches.

Gomes pops up again with that uppercut swing that Dusty just talked to him about in the dug-out.

Dusty puts up the .111 hitting Cairo to try to win the game for Leake. He wanted to hit against Perez rather than Bruce against a righty.

I'll go out on a limb and say that is a play that Brucey does NOT make.

I think something is wrong with Lincoln's elbow, The curves he threw were slow and not sharp, and he didn't throw a curve to Francoeur when he had him set-up for it and he hit the fastball to the wall.

I think he makes it more easily than Heisey.wildcats20 wrote: I'll go out on a limb and say that is a play that Brucey does NOT make.

Rhodes gets out of the inning and the Mets use two pinch hitters to no avail.

Will Dusty leave Rhodes in for the 8th, he only threw 4 pitches in the 7th?

Any major league shortstop can get a DP on that last ball, but Cabrera has not gotten to at leat two grounders that a lot of MLB SSs get to tonight, and of course muffed the play on the SB.

I didn't see the 2 grounders before it, literally just flipped back over. But you are damn straight on the SB.

Risky play by Heisey, and he breaks even on it -- no out, no EBH.

good agressive instinct IMO.....big leaguers are good enough to knock it down
