Harang versus Carpenter

Reds will for whatever reason do OK versus Carpenter......Harang will step up and the Cards offense isn't exactly great right now.

Rreds could win...but likely won't.

Cards 6
Reds 5

I understand your logic...but baseball is baseball and there is a reason why Roy Oswalt at 23-1 just lost his last start to that same team he was 23-1 against.

It mainly up to Harang to go 7 innings and give up 3 or fewer and the Reds will have a shot.

Alex Gonzalez just hit his 8th HR and now is at 21 RBI for the Blue Jays.....they are playing the A's....who have Adam Rosales batting .303.

Anyone catch 56 year old Juan Castro driving in the winning runs for the Phillies the other night.

It's almost amazing how seemingly purtid or washed up players can leave the Reds and fill a role well for other teams.

I need Carp to have a good game.

I think the Reds get to him (for a few) though. I dont think itll be enough. Pujols and Molina with big days.

I just am enamored at some of the fantasy rankings where the #20 ranked player is no way better than the #131 listed player.....but with the fantasy format they are.

Who is the fantasy stud for the Reds? Votto because of his SB? lol

lol, you got me intrigued. Votto is the highest rated Red right now, but at 95 (originally at 23).

I too love the fact that someone is rated higher than someone even though it is a ridiculous though for the most part.

Ugh.....Jocketty talking about Chapman still needing work on his bunting.

Makes me want to shoot myself to even mention that.....Votto took 100 games before he could toss the ball to 1B.

Just say we don't feel he's quite ready for the big leagues yet......the bunt stuff is beyond ridiculous when you consider how many Reds have been inept at so many more important things....sometimes for years.

Maybe Dusty should've been sent down for not knowing how to fill out a lineup card to give his team a chance.

Chris Welsh "you can just scratch out that early season ERA for Harang.......he had 2 bad starts that has ruined his ERA"

2 bad starts???........he's only had FIVE starts!!!!!

Harang has earned his 7.12 ERA

Can we scratch Tim Lincecum and Roy Halladay's great starts and ERA's for the same reason?

Reds have no one in the top 40 of MLB in runs scored and their leaders are the guys who have batted mainly 5th and 6th.....Dusty's lineup construction.

Both pitchers gets 2 Ks and retire the side in order in the 1st, but Harang uses 15 pitches and Carpenter 9!

Carpenter gets two Ks again. This time Rolen at least uses 6 pitches for his 3-2 looking K, to get Carpenter up to a whopping 20 pitches thru 2.

Yeah, Carpenter is only good for about 120 pitches......so if it goes 13 innings we can battle him out of the game.
