I've only used the Youtube App on my Droid twice. In normal quality, I watched a 5 minute clip with no chopping, however I noticed audio sync problems. The quality of the video is so so as well. The High Quality resolution is much much better. Especially if the actual youtube clip is of decent quality. However, when watching the same 5 minute clip in HQ the video stopped about 3.5 minutes into it. The file hadn't finished loading.

I watched part of the NFL draft on my phone via NFL Mobile app, and I experienced the same sync problems.

I had one of those shields on my phone for about a month. I must not be good at applying that thing because it had a ton of bubbles, and I eventually took it off. FWIW, it was my fault, ZAGG makes a great product...everyone else that has one that I know of is 100% satisfied.

I just wish that they would make a good privacy screen that doesn't affect the buttons or notification bar.

If you live in Columbus area, there's a Zagg kiosk at Polaris, they apply it and provide the warranty service if starts peeling, scratched or bubbles.....Best Buy will also also apply them for you but it's not there only job like at the kiosk. The shields have a lifetime warranty, I've used them on my last 2 devices and will continueto buy for my future devices...Worth the prime, IMO.

The phones both perform about the same. I think the choice comes down to 2 major features and how important they are to a customer. Do you want an 8mp camera or a 5mp? And how important is a physical keyboard to you?

Those are going to be the primary defining features that will determine which phone gets sold.

Clock speed means basically nothing when comparing processors that aren't made with the same architecture.

When they are briefing us on a phone, most of the time we don't even talk specs. Most manufacturers don't talk specs. (Why would they? They would basically be admitting that if something else comes along with higher specs, their product is outdated.) Instead, they talk customer experience. And the customer experience on some things have been clocked at faster speeds on the Droid than on the Incredible.

So in a way...processor specs mean basically nothing. All that matters is how fast the customer experience is. And like I said, the Incredible is great at swiping through your home screens, scrolling through web pages, and flipping through your app tray. But when it comes to loading up YouTube videos, downloading songs, or general use when applications are running in the background...the customer experience is going to be better on the Droid than on the Incredible.

First off, JD Power and Associates rated Sprint as having the best (most reliable) 3G network. As for having less customers than AT&T and Verizon, who gives a fuck? They both have more customers because they chose to buy up regional carriers. AT&T is the laughing stock of the mobile phone business right now because their network blows so hard, and until the Droid came out, Verizon had one of the weakest phone lineups of anyone. Not to mention, Sprint doesn't neuter their phones the way Verizon does. underclocking the processor, lowering the available RAM, or removing expandable storage....Verizon has a checkered past. Not saying Sprint is hands down the best but you don't really want to go there, because you probably don't know what you're talking about (some guy you know dropped some calls on Sprint so it clearly is terrible right?)

As for phones....it really comes down to this: how much worse (in terms of specs) do you want your phone to be compared to Sprint's EVO? Because they're all obsolete once the EVO hits in June. I'm on the fast track to getting one before its releases, so I'll let you all know once I get my hands on it.

They talk specs to people that know about specs. AKA nerds/tech industry people. It's not guaranteed (and in my experience unlikely) that a sales person at a phone store or Best Buy or Walmart will be that into tech things and so they don't talk specs for the most part because the sales dude doesn't care/doesn't understand what you're talking about. These are the same people that told me the Razr had good software.

But I can't comment on your assertion that the Motorola is quicker at multitasking since I haven't spent much time with either device.

All I'm going off is the fact that the people who review these things have far and away said the Incredible is the better device.

And the EVO will only be king of the mountain for a few months. I have it on good authority that the Droid 2 is going to put that to shame. And then 3-4 months later...something else will come out that one ups that. And then 4-5 months later, another phone will come out that is better. And then 5 months later and an even better phone will come out.

LOL. I talked to a guy at a Verizon store yesterday and he was looking at the Incredible. I showed him the Droid and he says, "ya, I saw that when it came out...but I was waiting for the Incredible. But I heard that Verizon is going to be getting the iPhone, so I think I might wait for that." I told him to Google "Sholes Tablet" and he'll forget all about the iPhone. But by the time that releases...that douche is going to have a hard on for something else.

But seriously...the Sholes Tablet (which has a rumored June release) is going to go toe-to-toe with your precious EVO.

I do hate that even though I bought the best phone out right now....it will be outdated within a year and I cannot get a full upgrade for 2 yrs. It is the way it goes though.
