Crybaby.
"It was a bad baseball play that happened to work out. I don't want to say it was bush league. But you never see that. Ninety-nine percent of hitters in that situation would rather win the game with a hit, not a bunt.
"It was a stupid play that just happened to work."
What a puss. To me, that was a heads up play. Who is thinking "watch for the bunt" in that situation?

Yeah, I hate to win. It is dumb to execute a play to do so...

In Howard Kendrick's own words...
""Right there I had it in my mind, first pitch, he's probably going to throw a strike there in that situation, and I already had it set in my mind I was going to try to bunt," Kendrick said. "Just make sure you bunt it hard enough to get it past him, because everybody was back in that situation. If you get it down and it works, then it looks great. If it doesn't, everybody's like, 'What the heck was he doing?'"
Truer words were never spoken.

I have some thoughts about it.
1) From Kendrick's comments, it was NOT called by his manager and if he had not pulled it off, probably would have been ripped a new asshole.
2)Perez was right. It was a stupid play. Both by Kendrick (it was a low percentage play) and by Perez who was caught napping, and is obviously embarrassed by such.
3)'walk off bunt' is a stupid nonsensical term.
4) stuff like this is why baseball is a great game.

You play to WIN the game.
Sick play by Kendrick, as a Tribe fan I say that's pretty damn ballsy and as a baseball fan I say fuck yeah.

As a huge baseball fan, and playing it the "right" way, Perez is an idiot.
Back when I played and could run well, if I saw the infield that far back I'd lay one down too.
Stuff like this is what makes baseball so great. You don't have to hit the ball 450 ft to win the game, you can hit it about 70 ft.

the guy made a great play after looking at the defense.
That's one of those damned if you do, damned if you don't in the heat of the moment type comments. If it works for you, hey, great, we won. If he's out, you're in the Anaheim dugout going why the fuck did we just do that?
In the other dugout you're going that really sucks to lose a game like that, but a day or two later you're probably saying pretty smart move by that guy
