My definition of a "good beer" is very simple really. One, is is very, very cold? Two, does it taste good to you? Three, can you buy it without committing to a five year 60 payment agreement for a single bottle? Four, is it a beer that at least some of your good friends have heard of? Five, does it have an ultra-yuppie name with at least six words, three or more of which are in a foreign language, or does it have a simple name like say...Bud Lite or Coor's Lite, or Ultra-Lite. If it falls under the last three, then it's my kind of beer.

If it's better the colder it's served, it's bad beer.

Kindof like posting on a beer thread a "look at me" thread of your own?sleeper wrote: This isn't so much good beer as "Look at me, I buy beer that no one has ever seen before, I must be cool"

Love Abita Light just can't find it in Ohio. I can find all of the other Abita beers just not the light.

I'd disagree with your definition. 1. Not all beer is meant to be served at the same temperature. While some people drink their beer ice cold, different styles are meant to be served between 35-55 degrees depending on the style. As it warms up a bit you will get more flavor out of the beer and you won't numb your palate. Don't believe me, drink a glass of red wine ice cold next to a room temp glass. 2. I do agree this, people should drink what they like. 3. Like most things in life (food, clothes, electronics etc.), you get what you pay for. Having said that, You can get plenty of good beer for a decent price. 4. With the number of beers out there, I'm sure most people haven't heard of 99% of them. Even people around me who are drinking good beer don't know about a lo of good beers I do. 5. Is the name really more important than the taste?Swamp Fox wrote: My definition of a "good beer" is very simple really. One, is is very, very cold? Two, does it taste good to you? As I venture out into the world of real beer, Bud Light tastes like water to me...

Well that's good because I just live over the border.BORIStheCrusher wrote: I know it's all over Toledo. You should be able to get it anywhere that has a decent beer selection. Be VERY careful when you pour it though, biggest head you will ever see on a beer. The first two I poured too fast and they overflowed all over the floor.
