Pete Carrol keeps tweeting clues about who they will take. His clues come from songs, videos and movie scenes. I can't figure it out. His first one was Jeremy by Pearl Jam and his latest tweet says to watch the taser scene from The Hangover...

Just a guess but there is a lyric in Jeremy - "Arms raised in a V". Fresno State has a V on the back of their helmets. Could it be Kyle Wilson?

I posted a link over on the Steelers thread that a guy (former Steeler radio guy) claims Roethlisberger has been traded to Oakland for Nnamdi Asomugha & the #8 pick. Raiders get Ben & #18 pick. Still waiting on a more valid source. There is a link with that story though.

I have a night class that lasts until 8 and then a drive home that'll take me another 30 min, does anybody care to text me the picks until then (really, only the top 10 picks/Browns pick)

^^^ I was just about to post the same thing. Class till 7:50 tonight. How long do teams have in between picks? I wasn't sure if the time was reduced due to the change in days.

I think its still the same as last year, in which they have 10 minutes per pick.

Verizon has a new NFL Draft app for Blackberry. They will send you each pick as they are selected.

I think they should change the draft to a "lightning round". How sweet would it be to give these teams 30 secs to choose after the guy before them took who they wanted.

enough of this arguing shit..lets get on topic.

Talks of my Cowboys trading up to get earl thomas.. i hope they do that instead of draft another overrated db from USF.

I think whoever gets Joe McNight will get a steal. He was highly recruited out of HS, but had injury problems at USC.

I have been reading increasing rumors and predictions that Tim Tebow will go to the Vikings at #30. I am not sure ESPN has enough bibs to pass around to all their anchors to contain the drooling and slobbering that would go on having Brett Favre and Tim Tebow on the same team.

His clues are bothering me now. I have no idea.... He keeps tweeting songs that are written by people from the south. Jeremy says something about Mountain Top which I thought could be Rocky Top for Berry.

Then one is 'Back Door Man' by the doors which may mean a LT. These clues are all over the place though.

EDIT: Taser scene in Hangover the cop says "Do I have a volunteer"

Maybe Pete's just smoking some good herb and chilling with some tunes and movies, while fucking with everyone.

Maybe not Fabio... Just posted on ESPN Insider.
The draft is just hours away, and the first overall pick is still on the minds of opposing teams, according to a report from ESPN's Michael Smith. Smith tweets: "Mike Holmgren just told me he's calling the Rams one last time about #1. Willing to deal most of 2010 picks, pick(s) in 2011."

Holy Ricky Williams, Batman!

Not since Mike Ditka mortgaged the New Orleans Saints' future to draft Williams has such a trade been brokered. We're not sure what it would take to pry the St. Louis Rams off of the No. 1 overall pick (and Sam Bradford), but we'd imagine that a package of "most" of the Browns' 2010 picks, and some 2011 ones to boot, would do it. For what it's worth, Smith tweets that Holmgren doesn't think they'll be able to get the pick, even with the above offer.

I am excited about the Draft being on Thursday, but I don't think it changes any of these franchises mindset. I'm hoping my Steelers Draft a DB or O-Lineman if he is worth that pick. Is it 10 minutes per pick again?

I have to imagine the Patriots will shake the draft up. They've got 4 picks in the first 2 rounds.

He won't be there for Seattle to take. Grimace Crennel has apparently convinced Pioli of the dire need to draft Berry at #5 so he can be the quarterback of an awful defense as they start to try and turn it around.

Good call jpake..one team you haven't heard about at all is the Patriots (surprise surprise) and they have so many picks. You have to think they'll do something to shake things up even just a little.

Except Kyle Wilson played for Boise State.

Does anyone on here actually believe Carroll's clues aren't 100% bullshit?

I could see them making a big move. Trying to get a real impact player. Somebody that will help them get back to where they got used to being. But I can see them just making miny moves and just getting the depth and building for the future while staying real competitive.
