Minimal 4 games, conditioned upon good behavior.

So, keep the raping to a minimum and he's back after their bye week.

glad they didn't over react.

no matter what your opinion is, the fact remains that he was investigated for a crime and they didn't even feel the need to press charges. I'm okay with this, bad decisions, but not illegal acts (in the eyes of the law).

I will continue to make jokes at his expense.

Seems perhaps a little heavy-handed to me, but I'm glad that it's being made clear that the bar of acceptable behavior isn't going to be set at merely not commiting crimes.

As much as I despise the Steelers, and want them to lose every single game, I think suspensions like this are ridiculous. He wasn't charged with any crime. Let's be honest, chances are everything that happened that night was consentual, until someone got in the girls ear and told her she may be able to get some money out of this. It's to the point where athletes might as well just lock themselves in their homes until they finish their career.

I believe chances are that if he didn't act illegally, he acted inappropriately. It's becoming more obvious by the day that this guy is a piece of human fecal material. While he may not be a criminal, he is almost certainly not some innocent victim of his celebrity.

4 to 6 games is a little harsh IMO. Vick, who was convicted and did time, got 6 games and it was reduced to 2 with good behavior and following through with any stipulations the league mandated. I thinking the same happens to Ben, he follows through with what ever counciling he has to do and it will be reduced to 2 games.

4 games is a little high to me. I thought 2 games would be sufficient. If you think about it, its the equivalent to 40 games in MLB. Being suspended a quarter of your season can be really damning to your team. The guy is obviously a POS, but 4 games is too much.

I agree with this. How can you suspend a guy on accusations that weren't even strong enough to be charged for?

Plenty of people in Pittsbugh that will no longer wear a black and gold #7 jersey anymore. My thinking is that Art II will add onto the punishment dished out by the league.

The fact is...he is still fighting litigation on a civil suit out west for basically the same thing. How in the fuck can he put himself into another he-said she-said situation?

The guy is a fuggin idiot.

First off, the Rooneys said they will accept what ever Goodell hands down. Secondly, people will wear their #7 jersey's again as soon as he steps on the field and starts winning football games again. And finally, he countered sued that gold digger out in Nevada.

I hate the steelers but 4-6 seems like to many. I was thinking it would of been 1 or 2 games.

I was thinking 2 games was fair....
i believe that the league was looking for 2 games....and the steelers stepped in and made sure it was more. That is just my gut feeling here.

I don't think they ARE "actively shopping" him but I'm sure they are listening to offers.

Yeah, I thought that report broke last week that they would listen. I can't find ANYTHING online that says that they are actively shopping him.

Good question. All I've been hearing on the radio and TV is that not a lot of teams want to touch him with it being a 4-6 game suspension. I did hear they were hoping to make a move before the news of the length of suspension...but maybe I'm just not listening to the right people.
