When you give good teams extra outs. this is what happens. Should have been out of the inning with no runs scored.

This is what happens when you give even crappy teams extra outs.

As for Marson...the guy is batting under a buck. Maybe the Phillies will take him back for a can of beans. Worth about the same.

Here is what really sucks...... that is how most of us Tribe fans expected them to play this season. Then they go out and sweep the White Sox and win some great games. We get excited then this happens.

Footwedge: Mike Hegan gave you the "green light" on your earned run.....the old "a double play can't be assumed"
Comeback time!

The entire group that came from Philly are a joke just as at least two posters said when the trade was made.

I want to agree with NCF on the Philly trade, but am afraid to. Don't wanna be a "puppet"

dont pat yourself on the back for that one. Im not sure anyone on the board (JJ at that point) liked that trade. No one I knew thought we got anything out of it.newarkcatholicfan wrote: The entire group that came from Philly are a joke just as at least two posters said when the trade was made.

One more at bat then I am going to bed.
Go Tribe.... A comeback victory to read about in the morning paper will make me happy.
Astrubal 2-3 tonight and the error that plated 3 runs. yawn

Clippers down 9-4 in the 8th
Rondon leaves with a 10.66 ERA
Hector Ambriz Threw another scorelss inning in his rehab trip in Columbus. I look for the Rule 5 player to be called up as soon as his time on the DL is over.
4 games 0.00 ERA in 4 innings.

Whole game turned on one play
....and this time you can't even blame Jhonny Peralta.
Truth is, the Tribe has scored only one run (Hafner HR) since the second inning in Sunday's game vs. the ChiSox. It's tough to overcome any mistakes if you don't score.

There were many of the yes fans who tried to justify that trade.Laley23 wrote:dont pat yourself on the back for that one. Im not sure anyone on the board (JJ at that point) liked that trade. I don't know how anybody could justify that trade....many times over the course of years we heard the term "salary dump" used...but no where was that more evident or obvious than in the Cliff Lee trade.
1) The trade was made a year earlier than it had to be.
2) we didn't even get any of the Phillies top prospects.
3) Cliff Lee's salary was bargained priced for a Cy Young award winner.
The trade made absolutely no baseball sense.
The only way a GM doesn't lose his job over so stupid a trade is if he had a gun to his head held by the owner...."dump his salary for whatever you can get" or some other such type of order.
Seriously...if you can't afford to pay a moderate price for a Cy Young winner, than you should sell the team to someone who can.

Huff is way off tonight and the offense is bad as has been the case for the most part of this early season.

And the sad part is that we are using this thread from last night's losing effort to talk about tonight's game.
