I really hope they take Clausen if Berry is off the board. Clausen put that team on his back in just about every game and played his best in the fourth quarter. That team had no defense and no running game, so opposing defenses were always attacking the QB and playing the pass, yet he still put up ridiculous numbers. All the passes he threw and only four were INTs? It's silly to discount him just bc he went to ND, just like the last QB we drafted, that's just not logical.

McCoy may not have taken many snaps from under center, but he's not going to be a starter right away, and isn't expected too. Unlike Quinn, Colt McCoy would have the luxury of sitting behind experienced quarterbacks in Jake Delhomme and Seneca Wallace. I think that if McCoy - or whoever - is able to sit behind veterans like Delhomme and Wallace for 2-3 years, when the reigns are finally handed off to them, they'll be set to go without the normal transitional pains that every team has with new quarterbacks. Quinn may have been alright if we had true veteran with some success - not named Anderson - for him to sit behind.

Holmgren's offense? Last time I checked Mangini was still the head coach. And Daboll has been a New England guy, so as far as I know he hasn't been apart of the same coaching tree.

They are going to sprinkle the WCO in this year. Daboll has already been studying it.

In my opinion, Mangini is on a short leash with Holmgren. Sure the marriage looks nice as of now, but I think the four game winning streak to end the season ultimately saved Mangini in Holmgren's book. I just think that Holmgren still as that fire to be a head coach. I think he'll give Mangini the benefit of the doubt and allow him to run the offense his way, but our offense was absolutely HORRID last year, and if that translates whatsoever to this upcoming season, we'll see more than just sprinkles of the WCO this year.

i agree with everything you have said, the best part about jimmy's game is his deep ball, he throws a hell of a deep ball and most people dont like him because of his attitude either but the dude can definitely sling it
