You're developing an MLB team, an NBA team and an NFL team. You can pull one current player from the league and place him on your team as your "franchise player." Who do you choose in each sport?

Can we just agree that all MLB will be Pujols? I know some people will pick Kobe for NBA, so there is still a choice there.

MLB - Hanley Ramirez ... stud, and much younger than Pujols (runner up: Tim Lincecum)
NBA - Lebron James ... young, marketable, stud, not much else to say (runner up: Kobe Bryant)
NFL - Adrian Peterson ... once he learns not to fumble, will be an all-time great, and still only 3 years of experience (runner up: Chris Johnson)

MLB - Joe Mauer
NBA - Chris Paul (gotta have the PG)
NFL - Tough one...Rodgers, Fitzgerald, Chris Johnson...I would go with Fitzgerald due to the fact that I think he will have some serious career longevity. If Peyton Manning was in his first 5 seasons still, he would be a no brainer. If I'm building a franchise...he's just too old at this point.

I don't watch MLB at all so I'm doing NHL

NHL - Crosby (Not my fav. player but it's hard to argue this one)
NFL - Roethlisberger (Young, clutch, two SB rings already)
NBA - James (Goes without saying)

I was thinking pretty much the same thing. I actually looked on NFL.com to see if there was another Rivers I was forgetting about

But then again...the post right above yours has Big Ben...do you get him on the field only? Or do you get his off the field antics as well?
