Couples with an eagle to move three behind, would love him or Phil to win this thing.

just after both Phil and Fred passed each other and gave each other encouragement

Phil made two eagles in a row, including one from 139 yards

then Couples chips in for eagle at 15

Fred only 3 back now. Had the hole not gotten the way.....it runs by 15 feet or so.

Tiger hasn't played that well but is about to get to -7

If he can drop another stroke coming in at -8 that's not too bad considering his struggles

I don't know if I've ever seen a player go -5 for 3 holes.

And this is some crazy shit going on.

Amazing golf by a bunch of players.

This is all part of a big tease by Phil, who I love just like I love Brett Favre. Both riverboat gamblers who look spectacular at times taking a ton of chances and make you think they have conquered their demons, but when it counts most they revert back to their natural tendency to let it slip away be it a late game interception or missed 3 footer.

I don't understand how the announcers and others say Tiger's round is so woeful today. He's probably ahead of 70% of the other golfers today. Missing 5 footers are all part of the game.

He's in good shape to win the whole thing. I've seen this movie before.

Michelson hasn't always fallen apart. He's won 3 majors including a green jacket.

Tiger squanders a chance at 15 though

that should've been a birdie where he was off the tee

Norman has 2 majors also, but like Phil will always be remembered more for the spectacular misses and ones that got away than the ones he actually won.
