What is your take on this? I'm at a family gathering yesterday and the women (who have facebook) start talking about facebook.

"I saw what you put on there."
"I'm friends with this person."
"I don't know why he requested me. I don't know him."

To me, this is one of THE most annoying things you can do. Is that how lame conversation has become that we have to talk about facebook?

Happens everywhere now a days. It does get quite annoying. My girlfriend brings up FB stuff all the time. My dad and I don't have the greatest relationship since him and my mom split and every time another woman would post on his FB, she'd be like OMG did you see what so and so put? I don't give two shits about what my dad does now in his new separate lifestyle. It doesn't effect my daughter or I so I don't care. The minute he tries to drag some new floozy of his into my daughters life, then I will have a problem.

I don't really have a problem with it. It's simply a new form of communication. I think it's akin to sharing some news you saw on television, mentioning something someone told you in an actual conversation recent, or discussing a detail of someone's life you previous would have overheard, but no have seen on FB. The way I see it, most of the stuff people discuss in relationship to FB are things they would have discussed anyway, now FB is just the new medium where that information is exchanged.

I'm with you. There's nothing I hate more on FB than undirected passive-aggressive status messages. If you're pissed at someone go talk to them, don't vaguely say it in a FB status!

This. There's this girl on my facebook who dated this guy for 3 years, and not only did we witness there entire break up on facebook, she got a new boyfriend like a day later and everyday I wake up to see "OMG, my BF IS SO AMAZING". So pathetic.

And then of course you have those girls that post shit like "I'm going to die" or vague status's like "PEOPLE ARE SO FUCKING STUPID, LEAVE ME ALONE" and then all their friends post stuff like "OMG, what happened?!?##".

I just hate the person who jinxes my news feed of being entirely negative.

Its all FML, FML my family is sooo gay, FML you just don't understand. Then someone has to ruin the lovefest by talking noise about how their boyfriend saved a baby from a burning building.

I dont know much about facebook. Is it just a good way to kill time? I sat in class for an hour and 48 minutes on Thursday afternoon and the chick in front of my was messing around on facebook the entire time. How much fun can a person have looking at drunk pictures of her friends?

Talked to an owner on the phone as her cat died, got bitten by a dog, and saw my first open chest CPR all on the same night. And I'm here for 3.5 more hours.
just wants to be worth something to someone. If a girl is "worth something" to you, you do not sleep through or forget about dates, stand her up, or not talk to her for a week at a time, whether it's accidental or intentional. Actions speak louder than words. On a related note, if anyone wants my Furball tickets, they can have them.

Have you ever had one of those days where you don't feel pretty enough, or thin enough, or smart enough? I've had about two weeks' worth of those in a row - and ALL of my ER cases died today. Not a fantastic day in my life. :(

What pisses me off is when my mother in law won't stop talking about fb gossip or.......farmville!!

She told me a story for a good 10-15 mins about how she had to go home and plow her fields and then figure out who tp'd her barn. You live in the fucking suburbs...the closest barn to you is pottery barn.

I've had one since it started in 2004, I honestly go on there to waste time. However, I did find my biological father whom I've never met before on facebook just last week....the first actually positive thing to happen thanks to facebook.

Sad thing is she is 26, going to be a Doctor in 2 months, is doing a lab animal residency at MIT AND doing a Biological Enigneering PhD at MIT as well.
