Myles Garrett won DPOY. TJ Watt doesn’t seem happy.

MVP, DPOY, coach of the year, comeback player of the year all from AFC North.

Assistant coach of the year and Man of the year(?) also included.

And by AFCNorth I mean Baltimore, Cleveland, and Pittsburgh. Cincinnati didn’t do shit.

The Flacco story is cool and all, but Breece Hall should've won Comeback POY and he wasn't even a finalist.

If Rodgers doesn't win it next season something went horribly wrong again.

Well he’s old, wasn’t particularly great his last year in GB, hasn’t played in a year, and his win total this year was projected around .500

I’d bank on him not being very good next year and Jets hovering around the 7-9 seed area again.

The Jets won 7 games with the worst QB room in the NFL. I don't think Rodgers is a lateral move, even at 40.

Rodgers 2022 season for the 2023 Jets would've won at least 10 games. It would've been a top 5 QB season for the Jets franchise.

The Jets scored 22 TDs in 2023. Total. Only 18 on the offensive side of the ball.

At this point it all hinges on fixing the OL. I'm not worried about Rodgers ability, I'm worried about keeping him on his feet.

Agree to disagree on his abilities at this stage.

Was actually thinking about this a few weeks ago. Rodgers is an elite QB but he is o-l-d and hasn't played in a year. Deshaun Watson had a year+ off, is much younger/more athletic and has pretty much looked like a shit sack since he's returned. Rodgers may return to form but the odds aren't in his favor.

Plenty of QBs have come back after a year off to regain form.

Even Roethlisberger, which is about as bad as it can get with a rebuilt elbow, could still throw the ball pretty well.  His OC sucked, and his legs were shot - as was his OL - but he could still sling it.

I've always said the arm is the last thing to go.  Barring injury, which to be fair is probably a pretty high chance, Rodgers should have at least another 2-3 good years left because his arm and legs still seem good.

But that conference is just loaded with QB talent.

Arm is the last physical thing to go, but it is not the most important. Rodgers started showing signs of decline in 2022. He started getting rid of the ball too quickly, not going downfield as much, taking more sacks. When QBs dont want to get hit, their numbers appear good, but they are not nearly as effective. They are going 1st read more often, short of sticks more often, etc. Only 2 guys have been able to do that successfully, Brady and Peyton. Peyton is the greatest mind the sport has ever seen, and Brady is Brady. Rodgers is not going to be able to have success this way.

There is a reason that GB looked much better without him this year. I thought NYJ all-in move had to come to fruition this season, because I felt it was the last season Rodgers would be semi-top end. I do not think he will be anywhere near that, especially after injury.

I think I'd worry more if Rodgers didn't take care of himself and wasn't playing with a fractured thumb in 2022. I wasn't expecting a torn ACL in 2023, so it's obviously possible it all crashes and burns again, but I still say a healthy Rodgers is a top 15 QB and that's all the Jets really need to win 10 games with this defense.
