According to Scout.com

If a deal wih Philly for Michael Vick cannot be made before the draft, St Louis will likely trade the #1 pick to Tampa.

Here is how the proposed deal looks on paper.

Tampa Receives
#1 Pick

St Louis Receives
#3 overall pick
3rd round pick
QB Josh Johnson

Tampa would draft Suh #1

bc st louis needs a qb and if they don't wanna draft one with the number 1 overall pick they can get it a different qb via trade and draft other needs. if that makes sense lol

st louis wants michael vick.

Dear St Louis Rams,

Please do not trade the number pick to anyone. Draft a QB and pay them the money.

Sincerely,

The Detroit Lions

Dear St Louis Rams,

Please do not piss away the chance to draft Suh. I am sick of making every fucking tackle this team has.

Sincerely,

James Lauranaitus

Dear St. Louis Rams,

Save yourself years of disappointment/millions of dollars and trade the number one pick. Do not draft a quarterback. He will be sacked so many times that his career will never recover.

Sincerely,

The Cleveland Browns and Houston Texans

Just draft Suh No. 1 and maybe McCoy in the second round.

If you're St. Louis.

If you're St. Louis.
Say hello to 4 wins again. You have to have an offense in the NFL to win. You also have to have a QB. You can't invest the majority of your money on DLineman (Carriker, Chris Long, and Suh).

I like this decision by St Louis. You're awful, you have a ton of holes, stockpile picks get somebody to compete for the QB job (Johnson) and then draft Bradford.

I don't think there is much difference between guys like LeFevour and McCoy and Bradford and Clausen. This draft doesn't have a can't-miss QB.

Suh is dominant.

You need to build a nucleus that includes several difference makers. They only have one right now in Steven Jackson so there is a long way to go either way.

DTs are Clifton Ryan and Darell Scott. Not exactly studs.

They could do the trade and then not pick a QB at No. 3.

Josh Johnson and then maybe Gerald McCoy or Eric Berry and then an extra third round pick

Maybe Johnson is your guy at QB so instead of getting two QBs when only one can play, you come away with another great player to fill another spot.

^ I'm just saying they've gone the D-lineman route the past few years and look where they are at. Time to look elsewhere. Way too many other holes.

Maybe.

They didn't really hit with those picks so the holes are still there. You're still going to need some great defensive players to fix one of the worst defenses.

I could see stockpiling picks, though. They could trade with Tampa and move to No. 3 and get the third round pick and try to move again to 8-11, draft Bradford or Clausen and get another pick, probably another third.
