Cavs are 0-2 without Z who is obviously the real MVP of the Cavs.
Cavs better hope they don't get the Bobcats in the Playoffs.
Yea I am sure they are shaking in their boots about that.

This will be my only time this year, so I'll do it now. Cavs have lost 2 in a row. Miami has won at least 2 in a row. You guys just aren't that good ha.

Of the Cavs don't somehow get ZZZ back, and Jamison plays like the over the hill dud that I think he is, the season will swirl down the commode.

Hopfefully LBJ tells Mike Brown who tells Ferry that you screwed this one up...and Antawn Hughes ends up on the bench.

He is not a very good player. It's really that simple.
Amazing every other GM/Player/ Coach in the NBA says different, but obviously you're the smartest man in the world.
look up his numbers and the records of the teams he's played for. GM's don't publicly bad mouth players.
Yeah but they certainly wouldn't keep signing him or trying to acquire him. Keep reaching though.

He's been on 5 playoff teams, playing 31 games, and averaging 20 pts, 8 rebs and 1 assist. While shooting 45% from the Field, and 36 % from 3.

Not bad production for a player who really isn't that good.
Look pal, I never said I was smarter than any GM. All I've done is state my opinion. If you think 45% is a good fg number or 35% (not 36%) from 3land, then good for you, I don't. Plus, the man has been poor on assists, and per minute, is not all that great on the glass.

My opinion is that the team will be less strong with him on the floor than with the others we have.

Excuse me for voicing my fuggin opinion.
You may want to check your facts, because in the playoffs he is shooting 36%.

I really don't care if my POWER FORWARD is racking up huge assist numbers, that's not what he's there to do, the POWER FORWARD is there to rebound, and score. Both of which Antawn Jamison does quite well.

Would you like for me to start pulling numbers for other Jump Shooters so you can compare their shooting percentages to Jamison, because that's what he is, a Jump Shooter.

Career

Ray Allen : 44% FG, 39% 3pg
Michael Redd: 44% FG, 38% 3pg
Kobe: 45% FG, 34% 3PG
Lebron: 47% FG, 33% 3pg
Rashard Lewis(Another Jump Shooting PF) : 45% FG, 39% 3pg

Seeing a trend yet, or do I need to go on?

Go on? Ok.

Troy Murphy : 44% FG, 39% 3pg
Michael Jordan: 49% FG, 32% 3PG
Chris Bosh: 49% FG, 30% 3PG
Dirk Nowitzki: 47% FG, 37% 3pg

Jamisons Career Numbers not just playoffs 45% FG, 35% 3pg

So are you saying that most of those guys aren't that good, or are you using something else to determine the greatness of a player? Because you keep throwing out Percentages as why he's not that good, well there is your proof that most JUMP SHOOTERS, which Jamison is, have pretty low percentages.

Now I'm sure you'll block me instead of coming back with some facts, so I understand if you can't come back with anything of substance.

You're allowed to voice your opinion but when you base your opinion off an arbitrary thing like percentages, you need to be prepared to get called out on it. Because when you use percentages, you need to use them correctly. If Antawn Jamison was a player like Shaq, Dwight Howard, or Tim Duncan who primarily played in the post, I'd understand the percentages, but seeing has he's not, he's a shooter, you need to compare him to shooters.

If you saw the game tonight you would know that Jamison "being new to the system" had absolutely nothing to do with it. He was set up for wide open looks on 7 occasions, missing the rim completely on 2 of them and barely catching iron on the other 5. The 5 other misses were drives to the basket in traffic and had them all blocked. That's what happens when you suck at shooting from the perimeter.

For the first time all year, I am bummed out on the Cavs. Hopefully, the Cavs can get big Z back. They need him back.

No...Jamison is a pathetic jump shooter who has gotten most of his points in the paint. For example, Amare is MUCH better tha Antawn Hughes from 12 feet, 15 feet, and 18 feet? Want proof? I've aleady seen the numbers...I'll have to dig them back up.

Now I'm sure you'll block me instead of coming back with some facts, so I understand if you can't come back with anything of substance.
I never block posters that have opposing views. Not even one time. I've only blocked 2 posters...not because they disagreed with me regarding players, but the constant crying about how bad this team is and how bad the coach is. The last 2 seasons have marked the most fun I've ever had watching my team play pro basketball.

Fair enough...you obviously know nothing about Antawn Hughes outside shooting percentage ability or lack thereof. He stinks at it. Much worse than Hickson or Andy.

........;..........At Rim....... <10 feet .............10-15 feet ........ 16-23 feet ........3 balls
Amare.......... 66.3% ....... 52.6 %'..............51.4%..............45% ..............N/A
Jamison..........63.5 % ...... 49.3% ............. 35.1% ..............38% ..............34.5%

These numbers prove that he stinks as a jump shooter.

The ball don't lie dude...the ball don't lie. As for tonight, that was the worst exhibition of shooting by one person ever in a pro game. He never hit the top, nor the inner half of the rim in his 7 wide open looks. The other 5 were blocked...because the defenders were giving him his crappy jump shot. You will see that all year, and it's the primary reason why Washington dumped his aging ass.

Did you watch the three times we played the Wizards in the playoffs over the years? Jamison was a huge thorn in our side from the perimeter. He can shoot just fine. Give it a few games for him to get used to the offense. He doesn't "suck" at shooting. That's a good joke though I lol'd for a sec.

Well...sorry dude. Antawn Hughes does suck at shooting. I posted the numbers. He also turns it over more than assists. Not good at all. Shoots a way below average 70% from the line and his rebounds per minute are less than both Hickson and Anderson V.

Don't let the media lie to you. The guy is very overated, and will make this team worse, not better.

Give Antawn some time to get accustomed to these guys.. He was no doubt a little tense tonight.. He didn't really play loose out there.

I'm seeing it with new guys on all the different teams, not just 'Tawn..

Footwedge is looking like a genius. I was not a fan of this trade...still am not a fan of this trade. Z was the only reason I picked the Cavs as a favorite team during the dark ages. Something about a 7+ foot guy that can shoot the long range J impressed me when I was a kid, in fact it still does.

Jamison looked bad tonight on the offensive end. real bad. he was generally a step or two behind the rest of the offense all night long. It's not a long term problem, just one that you see crop up anytime someone new joins the team with LeBron. That being said Jamison is not the problem, and Z is certainly not the solution to the Cavs biggest flaw. The biggest problem with the Cavs the last two games is probably the biggest flaw with the team is that when the best unit is out there, Shaq, Andy, LeBron, Delonte and Mo teams will pick and roll on that group all day long. LeBron is the only one versatile enough to guard multiple positions. Last night you saw switches where Mo ended up on Gerald Wallace, or where Andy wound up matched with Stephen Jackson. The night before Andy would up on melo at least three times, mo was left with Martin a couple of times, scoring both. In theory blitzing every pick and roll should work, in execution it doesn't because far too often the bigs, be it Andy, Shaq, JJ or Jamison over commit and there is no one left to defend the paint. ultra athletic teams are going to be the bane of the Cavs existence this year in the playoffs primarily for that reason. If the offense strings out the pick and roll long enough the complex help and recover schemes that Brown employs to offset the poor defensive skills of some players don't just break down, they completely implode in spectacular fashion.

Since when was 3 for 9 shooting burying everything? Tyrus Thomas wasn't "burying everything"...

Also, LeBron 6-14 | 2-6 3pt fg's.. had a +/- of (-2) for the game..

Mo Williams 4-10

Anderson 2-9

Shaq 4-9

As a team? 39%

That's why we lost. That and our team defense has been HORRIBLE the last 5 games.

Ok, so wait.. You're putting stock on Charlotte beating us, and claiming if Orlando wins Sunday that the Lakers will win another championship? I see all the doomsday 'Cavs fans' have come out of the woodwork again.

The Cavs are 2-0 against LA and 2-0 so far against Orlando.. I'm hardly worried about Charlotte. They are not this years Orlando. They don't have a Dwight Howard.. If you think the Cavs would play like that against Charlotte in the playoffs, you're crazy..

Seriously, some of you guys need to realize the regular season isn't as important as you're making it out to be..

The Cavs were on a roll before the all-star break, though some of those games towards the end of the streak (minus the Orlando game) started to get a bit sloppy.. Hopefully these two losses knock them back down to earth.

Some of these posts just crack me up.
For me the loss was disappointing but oh well. The cavs will be fine.
I also don't understand why everyone thinks Leon Powe is the guy that will come in and be the savior. He hasn't stepped on the floor all season. At this point I don't see him being a factor even if he does come back. I think he will play tentative on that knee.
Jamison looked bad yes but do any of you realize he has never even got to practice with the team. He is a student of the game and he and LBJ will be in a gym today working some of those problems out.
I agree our defense has not been what it should be for a few games.
IMO we will be fine. We have LeBron.....

People need to cool off a little bit. Jamison has averaged 20 a night through his career, you dont put up numbers like that because you suck. He had a bad game, it happens. Sometimes it takes time to adjust to new players/lineups, they started the season 0-2 before they started to figure things out, they will be fine.
