^^^The media's love for Jamison is such a joke. Obviously, he's having a horrible game. That's not the point. Our 4's will lose minutes because of him. And that includes Leon Powe.
He is not a very good player. It's really that simple.
Amazing every other GM/Player/ Coach in the NBA says different, but obviously you're the smartest man in the world.
look up his numbers and the records of the teams he's played for. GM's don't publicly bad mouth players.
Yeah but they certainly wouldn't keep signing him or trying to acquire him. Keep reaching though.
He's been on 5 playoff teams, playing 31 games, and averaging 20 pts, 8 rebs and 1 assist. While shooting 45% from the Field, and 36 % from 3.
Not bad production for a player who really isn't that good.
Look pal, I never said I was smarter than any GM. All I've done is state my opinion. If you think 45% is a good fg number or 35% (not 36%) from 3land, then good for you, I don't. Plus, the man has been poor on assists, and per minute, is not all that great on the glass.
My opinion is that the team will be less strong with him on the floor than with the others we have.
Excuse me for voicing my fuggin opinion.
You may want to check your facts, because in the playoffs he is shooting 36%.
I really don't care if my POWER FORWARD is racking up huge assist numbers, that's not what he's there to do, the POWER FORWARD is there to rebound, and score. Both of which Antawn Jamison does quite well.
Would you like for me to start pulling numbers for other Jump Shooters so you can compare their shooting percentages to Jamison, because that's what he is, a Jump Shooter.
Career
Ray Allen : 44% FG, 39% 3pg
Michael Redd: 44% FG, 38% 3pg
Kobe: 45% FG, 34% 3PG
Lebron: 47% FG, 33% 3pg
Rashard Lewis(Another Jump Shooting PF) : 45% FG, 39% 3pg
Seeing a trend yet, or do I need to go on?
Go on? Ok.
Troy Murphy : 44% FG, 39% 3pg
Michael Jordan: 49% FG, 32% 3PG
Chris Bosh: 49% FG, 30% 3PG
Dirk Nowitzki: 47% FG, 37% 3pg
Jamisons Career Numbers not just playoffs 45% FG, 35% 3pg
So are you saying that most of those guys aren't that good, or are you using something else to determine the greatness of a player? Because you keep throwing out Percentages as why he's not that good, well there is your proof that most JUMP SHOOTERS, which Jamison is, have pretty low percentages.
Now I'm sure you'll block me instead of coming back with some facts, so I understand if you can't come back with anything of substance.
You're allowed to voice your opinion but when you base your opinion off an arbitrary thing like percentages, you need to be prepared to get called out on it. Because when you use percentages, you need to use them correctly. If Antawn Jamison was a player like Shaq, Dwight Howard, or Tim Duncan who primarily played in the post, I'd understand the percentages, but seeing has he's not, he's a shooter, you need to compare him to shooters.
