Question for the educated masses out there.
Why is the state tournament qualifiers called sectionals and districts?
Isn't the district really a regional with only 4 in the state?
I've always wondered about that.

D1 won't concern me for about 5 more years the way my district is growing, haha.

Not sure how to handle that situation. Its just a thought. I suppose any decision has to be consistent across all three divisions.

Good point.....like most schools, at CW's gym they have banners hanging up for all the sports recognizing league/district/state achievements. I think we are still trying to get through to the powers that be that the sectional championship that the wrestlers won last season equates to a district championship in other sports.....

It would be great to rename sectional/district to district/regional so that things would match up with the other sports.....
