Okay, so I think that the Patriots are clearly #1 with this resume......

New England Patriots
Regular season: 112-48, .700
Playoff wins/record: 14-4
Super Bowls won/appeared: 3 out of 4
Playoff seasons: 7
Winning seasons: 9
Losing seasons: 1

However, #2 is not so easy.....

Pittsburgh Steelers
Regular season: 103-56-1, .644
Playoff wins/record: 10-4
Super Bowls won/appeared: 2 out of 2
Playoff seasons: 6
Winning seasons: 8
Losing seasons: 1

Indianapolis Colts
Regular season: 115-45, .719
Playoff wins/record: 9-7
Super Bowls won/appeared: 1 out of 2 (2nd Super Bowl has yet to be played)
Playoff seasons: 9
Winning seasons: 9
Losing seasons: 1

Indianapolis could very well win the Super Bowl this year and that definitely puts them in 2nd IMO.

Thoughts?

I would go with Indy. The only reason is that Indy is in contention every year and Pittsburgh has had huge letdowns after their super bowls.

I would have to say Steelers even if Colts win the Super bowl this year.

It's Super Bowls that they're all gunning for.

If the Colts win two then it's two vs. two and the tiebreaker goes to Indy because they've won more games overall.

You would still rather be the franchise with two Super Bowls than one.

Ugh, the Browns should definitely be up there... 2 winnings seasons and 1 playoff birth? Jeez.

While I certainly think both the Steelers and Colts boast better resumes, you have to put the Giants in the top 5 with 2 Super Bowls, 1 Championship, 6 playoff appearances and two #1 seeds in the NFC.

Indy wins this year and they get #2. They don't win it all, Steelers get #2.

As a Browns fan it is not easy to say, but it is the Pittsburgh Steelers. That was hard LOL

Steelers over Indy, although both have good arguments. But I'll take 2 SB's over 1.

Indy is definitely the 2nd best franchise of the '00's with a victory a week from today.

I'd definitely give it to Indy over the Steelers if they win the Super Bowl.

It would be 2-2 but Indy has been better overall record. I'd have no problem with that.

NE and Indy have been great teams. Steelers have had a good run recently as well but that doesn't mean they're going to be team of the decade all the time.

AFC champs since 2003

2003-New England
2004-New England
2005-Pittsburgh
2006-Indianapolis
2007-New England
2008-Pittsburgh
2009-Indianapolis

that's a pretty good run for three teams, which franchise will break it up
