Give CVCA their due...a few steps above everyone else in the PAC right now. Tuslaw also wrestled very well against Triway...some very good wrsetlers. Would have been closer with their 4 starters healthy but that's part of wrestling. Still don't think we would have won vs. tuslaw but against Manchester..no forfeits at a few weights...I think a win there.Good luck to all PAC wrestlers this year. I hope everyone gets and stays healthy

1_beast: I'm not going to say much tonight will post results in morning. Bears wrestled tough! Lost to Chanel as you say but it wouldn't have taken much to shift it the other way. Started off with Kovach getting taken down by Widder!* But of course that didn't last long. Petersheim over Collier 1-0...wow! Zeb Beam 2-1 over Trusnik. Mullins routine excitement but gets pinned. Siegle comes from behind in a close match with "pete" to pin Torgerson. Harter and Gove'y great job! Lil Jon got lost in the commotion with maybe a couple minutes of wrestling.

GO BEARS!


*Actually after review Widder almost took down Kovach. Sure looked like it but nifty counter and out and soon turn and pin.

Hey Beast what do you guys have coming up . Anything this weekend ? What will be the toughest weights at our sectional , any opinions?

Orrville and Tusky Valley(or IV) come to our house weds night...then we are resting til 2010. Raber - Beam match-up????
I havent put much into weight strengths yet...to many area schools i dont know enough about yet.

I DO KNOW THAT SECTIONALS WILL BE BRUTAL!!!!

I can guarantee that if I show up to see Raber-Beam....it won't happen. How about any other marquee matchups? I wouldn't mind a visit to Bear country. I think that my lawn mower can make it that far.

Proud to say The Waynedale jr high finished 4th at The Jack Leeder Memorial tournament. Had 6 in for 1-2...got 5 champs!!!! The kids wrestled well!!!

WHERES THE CHATTER????? We are 1/3 through the season, lets pick this up a little bit...lol. The Daily Record say Raber is bumping down to 171 tonight in his 1st move to get to 160, Dont look like we'll get to see the Beam -Raber match. I tell ya what, dont count out Siegel, the Siegel - Raber match could be a good one.

Zollinger is very good. Unfortunately, there was controversy surrounding his title. He actually was beat by a NWN kid.....Norwayne protested...NWN stat book matched the scoreboard. After they awarded the win to NWN...much discussion took place, they cback out and raised Zollingers hand??? Not sure about that...hes a great kid but the match was alot of muscle...ended 18-17. It was not Scheafer that gave it the match as he was out sick.
Ao what appeared to be a loss...was overturned?? I didnt agree. You know my distaste for NWN...BUT their kid won the match!!!
And while as a member of the "Sea of GOLD"....Smithvilles Jr High coaches are ridiculous....lol...i may end up hip tossing one of them before seasons end
Norwayne finished 5th? maybe

Thanks for update, understand about Zollinger muscle wrestling. Totally understand the coach thing,go ahead with the hip toss,just don't hurt em if you think would help.lol

hey everyone..... did any one hear that logan hershey is out for the season with a torn mcl? thats what i have been hearing!

I heard Hershey & Bryan Fortune both sustained injuries either before or at the Firestone Tourney. I hope it's not, but if the rumor about Hershey tearing ligaments in his knee is true, I wish him a speedy recovery.

Any word on Fortunes injury?

Hershey out for season torn MCL. Fortune hurt his surgically repaired shoulder,not sure how long he will be out.

Not sure of all the weight classes but i know this year there will be some awesome finals matches! 112 Spreng vs. Grier, 119 fortune vs nelson 160 Hall vs. Raber 189 beam vs. shaeffer... Those will all be some great matches to watch.
