On the scoop I received, prior to the 195-285 semi finals:
Walnut Ridge 136
Whetstone 134
West 132
I do know West landed 195, 220 and HWT in the finals, too, giving them six total finalists: 106, 120, 182, 195, 220, 285. Most intriguing is at 120, where Cruz (the champ at 126 last year) is against the excellent Justin Rodriguez. Rodriguez may very well prove to be too much for Cruz, but the 14-11 Rodriguez win in the dual meet tells me it might be close.

Really close race this year it looks like. Was really impressed with south this year and how about the host school with 3 in the finals i believe. Also northland making some waves as well in this years tournament. While the numbers were down across the board I this this years tournament was very competitive. The top 3 teams exchanged the lead 4 times. Next year I see West and Whetstone going for the top spot and mifflin right there with them. Walnut Ridge is going to take a big hit due to graduation it appears just looking at the bracket. West Whetstone and Mifflin all about the same number of underclassmen who placed coming back next year. Also it was good to see beechcroft having alot of kids out this year hopefully they stick with it. Congrats to all the Wrestlers and coaches this year. Hopefully next year is even better.

GL to all the city wrestlers tomorrow!
The names on the singlets don't matter, the seed doesn't matter, the reputation (theirs or ours) doesn't matter.... toe the line, be aggressive and give it everything you've got!! : thumbup:

Excellent job at Districts to all my City League colleagues. I want to give a shout out to Mifflin with 2 sectional champs at UA and a special recognition to my alma mater, the Whetstone Wrestling Braves with a 6th place finish and 5 qualifiers.
Great job to the coaches and wrestlers at all the City League schools. You are putting it all together.

Malik Adams also placed 6th.
