So what I expect to come out of the brokered convention is an attempt for the Establishment to keep the party from disintegrating. Cruz might be the only choice that makes sense, and keep the right-wing Conservatives and Evangelicals from revolting. Trump on the ticket would do long-run, lasting damage to the party. Rubio can take another shot in 2020 or 2024.
