Agreed on Carson. Like wtf?

His only chance is if Trump implodes (and WTF would Trump have to do for that to happen?!?), or Rubio drops out and I don't see that happening.

Agreed Kasich could do better in the purple and midwest states. Probably why he remains in the contest, but he will prevent Rubio from overtaking Trump. Carson staying in the race, even with as few of votes as he's getting, probably helps Rubio a little.
For a while there, every time he spoke I thought "surely this is it. People will see the light." But, here we are. I'm convinced he could just walk on stage and start masturbating at the next debate and people would still vote for him.

^^^ agreed . :(
For a "republican"to get onstage in a national televised debate and rip George Bush, blame him for 9/11, mince no words in calling Iraq a "mistake"...... I thought sure he had jumped the shark.

Still too early to call it for Trump. If he is ahead by a good margin come the end of March, the yeah, it is his to lose. But, if Rubio can start to pick away at some states and then make a good push in the middle and end of March, then I could see the narrative shifting toward Rubio.
Rubio greatest strength is he is seen as the only one that can really take down Hilliary. If he hammers that message, he may be able to out maneuver Trump.

Although, I wouldn't be surprised if this thing goes all the way to the convention.

Trump only has about 30% of the pub votes. Soon as it's down to him and either Cruz or Rubio, I'm not so sure he will come out on top.

The Rubio camp is already preparing for a brokered convention, and if it comes to that, they think they have a good shot at getting the nomination.

In a brokered convention, Trump probably still screws them running as an independent because "I was treated unfairly".

Part of me still thinks that Trump could be a human Super-PAC for Hillary trolling the Repubs.

What we don't really know is how many people have Trump as their number two when Carson, Bush,Kasich or Cruz drop out.

And I'm not sure how many people really think Marco Rubio is a real leader.

Either way this country will have two terrible candidates.

They have done plenty of polls on that, and those polls indicate almost no one has Trump as their second choice. But if those votes split between Cruz and Rubio, it may not be enough for either to overcome Trump's lead.

A vote for Trump isn't necessarily because they like Trump, I think the vote is for someone outside the establisment...trump is the only candidate that gives the voter that choice.

It's never good when you vote for someone out of anger, or for change for the sake of change.

Stanley Druckenmiller just endorsed Kasich; that could be a huge shot-in-the-arm $$$$-wise.

Trump has ZERO chance to win. They will broker the convention if they have to and fuck him. There also is no chance to win a general election not with a party, he's a smart businessman and would not take that risk.

The infrastructure it takes in a general election is too overwhelming to not have a party supporting you

People on this board have been saying that about the people that voted for Obama for years.
Funny how Trump supporters fall into that broad category.

You sure? I wouldn't put it past Trump's echo to think if he had enough delegates and won enough states to think, if he wasn't the nominee, to go 3rd party. His echo is that big.

And those same people on this board say the trump supporters are dumbasses for that reason (amongst others). Funny how you fail to mention that.

Also it doesn't matter if his ego is big or not to think he can win. If he truly feels he got fucked over he would just put his name on the ballot to fuck the GOP over.

Yeah, most of the board are not fans of Trump, I get that.

Very true on that last point. I could see that too.

I don't think Trump is a Republican anyway.... So if he becomes the party's nominee they already lose the election even if he wins in November. If he goes 3rd party because he can't win the nomination outright, to quote Hillary Clinton "WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES IT MAKE!"

I can't say for other states, but unless the ballot rules are special for Presidential candidates in Ohio, Trump will not be eligible to run as a non-party "independent" candidate after the Republican Primary is over and he has declared under penalty of election falsification that he is a Republican and John Husted could keep him off the ballot in accord with established Ohio election law.

He could still run as a Write-In candidate though.

Well, that shouldn't be a problem since I doubt most of his supporters can write.:RpS_razz:

It didn't take much more than a decade for political correctness to spawn such brain matter leakage so as to result in the assault on straight talk.

Attacks on GWB at the debate last Saturday, blaming him for 9/11.....he might as well been in the democratic debate. SMH.
