This has been a big problem with me. Hoyer never seems to take the blame, even if its symbolically. There's a difference between having a chip on your shoulder and being butt-hurt, regardless of who starts this week, I don't think there is any way Brian is back next season.

I've noticed this as well. Regardless of how bad he plays it's usually a "we", not a "me", thing. Yes, it is a team game but even when he fesses up to playing like shit, he almost throws in the "including me" phrase as an afterthought like he doesn't really think he played bad.

Showed on ESPN earlier how it was likely GOrdon's fault on that one INT that he was supposed to run the post pattern but instead went deep.

Listening to Pettine's presser on the way home, I'd say there's 0% chance Hoyer will be starting against Indy.

When asked "do you still have complete confidence in Brian Hoyer", he paused and went "uuuuuhhhhh' and then skirted the question, not giving Hoyer his usual vote of confidence. I think they've already made their decision.

Looked like an option route live. He ran the go instead of the post into the safety. But whatever. If ESPN said it.

I give Gordon the blame on that one too. The problem is...the previous pass was thrown right to the Buffalo player and should have been picked.

Hoyer's comments today were comical. The guy is a legend in his own mind, and possibly one of the bigger primadonnas I have seen in Cleveland sports. He and Dion Waiters should start a support group for guys whose opinions of their own games are completely detached from reality.

Johnny is saying all the right things right now, and Hoyer is out there in the media touting his 10-5 record and his having personally carried us to 7-5 record this year.

I have this sickening feeling that Pettine is going to start him again because Hoyer will have a public temper tantrum if he doesn't if today's comments are any indication.

Manziel is starting guys. That first drive and Pettine's comments seal the deal. Also, wouldn't be surprised if we don't see West for a couple games.

OK Dorkie..the Browns have averaged 14.3 points a game over the past 3 weeks. I'll bet you the hundred you have that Manziel will have the Browns at 25 points per game. He has to start all 4 games. That's a 100 total points against one bad defense and 3 teams fighting for a playoff spot.

Apparently you didn't listen to Pettine's press conference. He came across like he has no confidence in Hoyer whatsoever and that this change has been building up.

Listening to Hoyer cry for his job is beyond disturbing. "I'm 10-5 as a starter"...blah, blah, blah. There is no I in team. Hoyer is lucky I wasn't there asking the questions. Mary Kay's article today had the following 2 paragraphs the morning in the PD.

"In the past 3 games, Hoyer has thrown only one touchdown pass and six interceptions. His rating has tumbled to 79.9 for 27th in the NFL. His 56.2 completion percentage s 33rd among 34 ranked quarterbacks, and he's last in the league in third-down passing with a 65.0 rating. What's more, the defense has bestowed a league high 17 takeaways on him over the past sis games, and he has converted only 3 into touchdowns.

In the past 5 games. he's only 3 TD's and 8 picks-after 8 TD's and only two picks in his first seven games".

And even with ALL THAT, there is still a contingency of "fans" that want this guy to start with the season on the line.

Forget about Manziel. This team should start Spergyn Winn or Thaddeus Lewis over that type of production.

There's no secret about Kojak' fatal attraction to Hoyer. But with Ray Farmer, Loggains, and Shanahan in the room, there is no way that Hoyer gets the ball on Sunday.
