Taking a shot in the dark here, did you have cutler and the opponent Ingram?

Buddy of mine's dad won his league by .6. He had Ingram and the opponent had cutler whose TD pass in the last 30 seconds came up just short.

Nope. I was all finished and he had Forte and Jeffrey. So I should've lost anyway, had they both gotten projections. That garbage TD from Jeffrey sank me.

I'm in the finals as the 7th seed facing two weeks of a 15-point deficit right off the bat.

In the finals in 1-of-3 leagues. Favored to win, and I am 1-0 against this guy so far this year. I'd finished the regular season #1 in this league, but two guys finished with a higher point total. However, I just beat one of them, and the other team in the finals beat the other.

Hoping I can get some decent play out of my QB spot, but right now, I'm still sitting on Sanchez and Orton, who have both been just awful. I've got a waiver request in for Bridgewater, but the wire is super thin (Alex Smith and Derek Carr being the next highest performers from the past four weeks who are active). I'm okay at the RB position, and I've got the best WRs in the league, plus Gronk, so it should hopefully be enough to get me through any inept play at the QB position.

In the championship in an 18-team (17-man roster) league, so the waiver wire is VERY thin. The manager I'm facing colluded on multiple trades, but I still think I have a decent shot despite not making any trades outside of one (a defense for a defense). This league has 2-week long playoff matchups, which actually benefitted me in the first round as my team sucked two weeks ago but played well and closed the gap last week. Here's what our matchup looks like:

Our teams (MINE/HIS):
QB: Ryan Roethlisberger
RB: McCoy Lynch
RB: Ingram Morris
RB: J Hill D Herron
RB/WR: E Sanders Char. Johnson
WR: A Brown Edelman
WR: J Gordon D Bryant
TE: Kelce Gronkowski
FLEX: Garcon Sanu
FLEX: J Reed LaFell
DEF: MIA D CLE D
K: Hauschka Bailey

BEN: Randle, J Matthews, J Thompson, Cin D, NYJ D Cutler, Vereen, Kearse, Manziel, Gray

Unreal year of fantasy football so far. In 4 leagues and in the championship game of 3 of them, and have won $1,020 after putting in $285 total. I'm hoping to win at least one of the games and 2 would be great. I've never won 2 of the leagues so would like to cross those 2 off the list.

In the championship in 1 of 3. Of course, it the smallest entry fee of them all but still would be nice to win.

Stealing Dr. Knoitall's format.

Our teams (MINE/HIS):
QB: Brees Roethlisberger
RB: Forsett Foster
RB: Stewart F.Jackson
RB/WR: Char Johnson J. Bell
WR: Edelman Jeffery
WR: Bryant Stills
TE: Miller Graham
FLEX: Landry Douglas
FLEX: J Reed LaFell
DEF: NE D DET D
K: Hauschka Barth

I think he will sub in Mike Wallace for Douglas if Julio plays.
I played Blount last week over Charles Johnson but think I am going back to Johnson this week. I also picked up Dunbar and Randle..so if Murray goes, whoever starts for the Cowboys I will likely play. Sounds like it would be Randle.

I like that format. Looks like my opponent might have QB woes as well ... I hope ...

The matchup (MINE / HIS ):

QB: M. Sanchez / D. Anderson/C. Newton
WR: E. Sanders / A. Brown
WR: O. Beckham / G. Tate
RB: M. Forte / E. Lacy
RB: P. Thomas / S. Vereen
TE: R. Gronkowski / H. Miller
W/R: J. Gordon / I. Crowell
K: C. Barth / D. Bailey
DEF: Cleveland / New England
DB: M. Barron / M. Griffin
DL: C. Joh nson / E. Griffin
LB: C. Lofton / P. Worrilow

Forte worries me. They haven't been giving him enough touches, and Lacy has been GOOD lately. My WRs and flex are stronger, but if Cam can go, I trust him more than I trust Sanchez or Bridgewater.

QB Brady Ryan
RB Charles Morris
RB Forsett Crowell
WR Maclin Bryant
WR Beckham Jeffrey
TE Gates Graham
FLEX Benjamin Brown
FLEX Kelce Cobb
K Santos Haushka
DEF Lions Bills

My opponent is stacked at WR. Oh, he also has a 15-point lead going in to the matchup. :|

He definitely is loaded at WR, but you've got the upper hand at QB and RB, and your WRs aren't THAT bad. Beckham has gone bonkers since the Giants' bye, and Maclin is still serviceable, as long as he can get even mediocre QB play. Meanwhile, Jeffrey's potential, while still reasonably high, is capped by the implosion of Jay Cutler.

I would guess that your matchup ends up being closer than 15 points, so I'll say you at least beat the spread.

I hate that at this point my best (most consistent) second FLEX play is another TE.

I have Martavis Bryant on my bench but he's been wildly inconsistent that last 4 games.

The following RBs are available on the waiver wire:

Jackson (vs OAK)
Asiata (vs MIA)
Andre Williams (vs STL)
Herron (vs DAL)
Martin (vs GB)

I would say Herron, except I expect that to turn into a passing affair. He can catch, but it will still diminish his role.

I think you could start Andre Williams over Kelce. I believe Jennings is almost definite to miss this week, so he should function as the feature back in New York, albeit against the Rams, who have only given up 100 yards rushing to three guys all year (two of whom are a surprise): D. Murray, B. Rainey, and R. Mathews.

Still, I think he'll keep all the goal line work and get the lion's share of touches out of the backfield. I'd guess 50 yards and maybe a TD. With the guaranteed touches, it's hard to start a TE over a feature back in most cases. Especially when the Giant Tomato insists on not getting that TE more involve in the offense.

So I picked up Bridgewater. He's playing Miami, which gives me pause, but I trust him more to not soil himself on the field.

What I see is this:
Sanchez against a bad passing D

-or-

Bridgewater against a good passing D

Teddy averages 5 more points per game over the last four weeks, but Franchez does play in that Chip Kelly offense that can go bananas in a given day.

Which do you guys role with? I've already got one vote for Sanchez.

I was leaning toward Fred Jackson since Oakland is absolutely horrid against the run. In 14 games they've given up less than 20 points only 4 times.

I'd say Bridgewater vs Sanchez is a coin-flip at this point.

Well, I hope his WRs go nuts because I am starting Bryant, Edelman and Johnson as well. However, I hope Big Ben has a bad day. In a nutshell, I hope his WRs have big days but your team can go off and I'd be fine with that.

Only place you're the underdog is TE if we're going by skill alone. That doesn't take match-ups into account, of course.

I still think you pull it out.

Is this a money league?

Not a money league, although I wish it was since I finished the season as the #1 seed, the points leader, and I'm playing for the championship! I'd be raking in the cash!

Really it was a $1,188 dollar investment at least. You can see the (44) next to his name. Who knows how many other teams he had probably at least 50. Still pretty awesome payout for the investment.

Yikes!

I'd exclude Blount only because I've made it a practice to never trust Billy B's running back situation.

Jennings has become the #2 WR on a team with a low-end QB going against a tough defensive matchup this week, so I wouldn't like to consider him either.

I wouldn't count on Wright based on his volatility in that offense. He can lay a goose just as quickly as he can have a good game.

I don't think Mathews is playing, so I wouldn't count on him.

Bowe hasn't had more than 3 catches since Week 10, and he has yet to find the endzone. I'd stay away from him, despite the matchup.

For Sanu, see Wright. They essentially have a similar rap sheet this year.

All things considered, I guess I'd probably go with Jennings and hope for a TD, since he has one in three of the last four games, but that matchup is going to be ROUGH. After him, I might go Wright, as he did have a big game last week, despite the nasty pass rush the Texans normally bring.
