Like many other things, what people want to do with their body is up to them. Smoking, obsessive drinking, drugs, etc. are all up to the individual. Maybe I am in the minority here, but I don't view obesity as being undesirable due to health issues. If that were the case, there are many things I'd stay away from (or others would too): alcohol, cigarettes, motor vehicles, tanning beds, etc.
