It's just my opinion. No different than everyone thinking Bortles or Manziel is the next Peyton Manning. If anything, its the Manziel nut huggers on here that started making the claim that I said a LB is more important than a QB to justify their erroneous beliefs that somehow a QB that slips to #4 and is passed over by other teams who need a QB will become the next Peyton Manning.

Saw on B/R that the Manziel rumors for Browns are a smoke screen and they are targeting Derek Carr at 26.

Do. Not. Want. He seems like a more athletic Weeden. His numbers this year were inflated by screens and slants (like Weeden) and he had a completion percentage of 50% under pressure (like Weeden, who was around 45%).

I find it funny that Jaws is bashing Manziel, this is also the same dick bag that said Weeden would be "rock-solid in the NFL" lololololol

And I really hope the reports aren't true. Carr is a system qb. I don't get the love fest with this dude with scouts.

One of the phrases I hate the most about QB's.

They are ALL system QB's, as the systems are built around their strengths.

CJ mosley at #26? DQ was awesome for the Browns, but had to go... not worth the contract he was getting paid. Bridgewater, Mosley in the 1st would be awesome. Don't want Manziel.

No. He throws a lot of screens and slants. He is not going to be an All-Pro QB in this league. He ran out of the shotgun almost his whole career. Never under center, doesn't know his drops. So yes, a system qb.

I didn't know Manziel threw a lot of screen passes and slants? Pretty sure they ran a intermidiate to deep passing attack.

So a big difference. There is a reason Manziel is rated as a top player and Carr isn't

Watched Carr play about 3 times this season on TV, so clearly no expert or anything. But from small sample size, he threw a lot of balls off his back foot when pressured. When he faced a real defense like USC who brought pressure, he wasn't nearly as efficient and threw some bad balls.

True, however good coaches will tweak the system to fit.

But not to get into a pissing contest, my point remains, all players put up their numbers because of the system they play in.

Which is what I was going off off.


And technically Carr is by most people the 4th QB, and Manziel is the 3rd. Lets not act like Carr won't be drafted.

This seems like an accurate assessment as I've read experts that compare him to Jay Cutler and Matt Stafford. Tons of arm talent, but will drive coaches and fans crazy by not maintaining balance and stepping into his throws.

Jaws is a dipshit. Said Kaepernick had a good chance to be the best QB ever and Flacco was an elite QB.

Jaws just pushes whatever ESPN wants him to push. There's no way he believes some of the shit he says, especially the Manziel talk. You can tell its BS when Adam Schefter and other ESPN people tweet about it multiple times during the day.
