I hope the browns go nose tackle at 4! Screw the QB position!

Honestly, we may as well pick a long snapper at 4. Continuing to disregard the QB black hole we have will just continue our shittyness.

Do you think a decent long snapper will be available at 4? Might have to trade up.

Perhaps

If not, we can always look at trading the pick to SF for their long snapper coach to develop our long snapper.

He lit up Ohio state. He's gonna be really good in the nfl but no way should you pass on a QB for him, if you're desperate for a good QB.

Amen a LB doesn't win you championships. and Sleeper is all about blowing LBs at 4 wasn't it the Arron Curry that was drafted by the Seahawks and was a huge bust? I see that worked out for them lololololol

How do we know any of these QB's are any good?

Thats the point sleeper is making. None of these guys scream SB winning QB. He's suggesting taking a safer selection(LB statisically speaking is safer in the top 5-10 than QB is), and take the QB gamble at a later selection. There is no sure bet in this draft, hell there really isn't a guaranteed Pro Bowler amongst the group either.

And its not like we have the #1 overall pick. Very REAL possibility that we are taking the 3rd QB available. What if its Bortles (purely example) and Farmer/Pettine want no part of him, for example doesn't fit the system, maybe don't even like his personality, the way the majority of you guys on here are talking, he HAS to select a QB if one of the Top 3 guys are there, or everyone is going to hate the pick, and boo them out of Cleveland.

Fact of the matter is each of the QB's is vastly different from the other, and I doubt our FO will have similar opinions on 2 of them, let alone all 3. When if comes to our selection (barring us trading up, which i'm not 100% against) the QB that we really want possibly won't be available, and at that point we need to select the BPA. At 4 guaranteed to have most of the follow available that would improve the Browns:

Matthews
Clowney
Watkins
Barr
Mack
Robinson

How do we know any of these guys are any good... that's why it's a Draft and teams have to make the best decision in their mind.

Exactly. Which is why I feel its silly to paint yourself into a QB at all costs corner.

Havent read what you guys have said..but I found it pretty interesting Manziel has the biggest hands of the big 3 qbs. Also like how Pettine has been handling the media.

For all the negative things said about Manziel, he has really impressed me this off season on how hard he is working. He seems like a kid that will work his ass off to be successful. I'm really warming up to the browns drafting him.

Yes, the Browns need a qb. The Browns need to sell out for a QB. And you don't think the Browns should draft a QB

Neither of those quotes say "Never Draft a QB", need to quit reading what you want to read.

Check the rest of this thread, and you'll see my stance, don't feel like typing it out for the 10th.

But I will summarize it for you:

Browns need a QB, I'm not in love with any in this draft, however if the QB the FO likes is there at 4 they should take him, or trade up to get him. Don't just take a QB for the sake of taking a QB, otherwise you end up with Brandon Weeden. But QB at all cost is foolish stance, especially if the guy you want is gone.

Im not flipping through all the pages either but totally agree. I love Manziel and Bridgewater but like you say if the FO loves somebody. Go get him, I just hope that if we draft a guy 3rd round or later I don't hear people on this board saying he is our franchise guy. He could be down the road but this year not happening.

Watkins Gordon and Cameron would be deadly. But so would a FA like Decker, Maclin or Reily Cooper with drafting a QB BPA

Decker would be solid, for the right price. I have a feeling he'll want a big number.

I'd pass personally on Maclin/Cooper.

Decker will command a high price, but the Browns are so low under the cap they can afford to overpay for a guy or two and still have enough to sign their pieces long term.

At least I think so lol

I'm pretty much sold on either Bridgewater or Clowney at 4. I really don't want manziel...and I'm iffy on bortles. I just don't want to see them trade up or back...just take the best available please

Watkins clocked in at 4.34 and 4.37 40 yard dash. I didn't think he was that quick.
