Anybody else cautiously excited to see what Pettine can do with this defense? I feel that every year he and farmer will add talent.

So with experience what does that leave us at LB? Kruger, Sheard, and Mingo and Robertson? I would like a little more depth in that position than that. I know D'quell was old, but he showed up when he was playing. Depth is what makes NFL teams good. Because it IS the NFL....and people WILL get knocked the hell out!

Dansby, Kirksey too. Not sure if you were just referring to OLB but then I saw D'qwell brought up.

1- Mary Kay tabot so more than likely not true

2-I would not have been happy with a trade of Gordon even after the recent events. A second round pick and some players? No thanks. Gordon will be fine, probably just won't see him until 2015 but let's face it were not Super Bowl contenders right now.

I'll be very surprised if we see Gordon again. I don't see his dumb ass staying clean with all of that down time.

Probably true. I just hope this year off made him think how big of a dumbass he is and how much money he just lost. Hopefully puts a few good people around him as well.

Hope you're right about him straightening up but I'm skeptical. Still baffles me how stupid this guy is.

The only way Gordon stays in the league is if the Browns give him the Dez Bryant treatment and put someone with him 24/7. He's a kid and obviously needs adult supervision. At the same time, he's a game changer and can go a long way towards making us a contender if he stays on the field. This NEEDS to be done. Give him a babysitter.

Plus the dumbass has a big "bullseye" on his back every time he takes that camo car out for a spin. Everyone in Cleveland knows who it is, including the cops (I'm sure). With his speeding record, he's probably going to get pulled over, maybe when he's not even guilty, in hopes of the cop nailing him doing something wrong (possession, etc).

It's pretty much the same thing that happened with the Eagles/Cris Carter. Carter turned out to be awesome, but not for them...

I've been hearing more & more from some of these national analysts that the Browns should just cut bait with Gordon. Saying he's too much of a "lingering issue" to deal with. I'd hold onto him a little longer to see if the light bulb goes on and if he slips up again, see ya....

Yep. They lose nothing by just holding on to him.

I would keep him and see what happens when he gets reinstated. As much as you would love to just tell him to fuck off, he still is one of the most dynamic WR's out there.

Plus.....he could be trade bait next year as well.

IMO both sides have merit. We really could just cut bait and say good riddance because he's the type of person you don't want to have in the locker room that could be a bad influence on young guys.

But he's on a cheap deal and incredibly talented, so really, outside of potential influence, there's no legit reason to cut him.

When he gets reinstated they can trade him if they want and have a say in where he goes.....Oakland, Jax, or some other shitole team in the NFC

Probably a good idea. That would've been a circus with JFF there.

Agreed. He pisses you off so much we're like "eff him....get rid of his ass" but at the same time think "but watch the Steelers grab him and he'll turn it around."

As far as thavoice's comment goes, he could eventually be traded but for as good as he's been, I doubt they'd get much. At least not nearly what his true value should be, if he weren't a dumbass.
