The Super Bowl winning QB was drafted in the 3rd round. Also, over the last decade 45 QBs were drafted in the 1st round and only 22 stayed in the league for more than 3 years. That's an over 50% fail rate and that doesn't even include the trash QBs that will be out soon(Bradford, RG3, Weeden, Gabbert, Bridgewater, Manziel, Bortles, Tannehil, etc.) I'll pass on this current crop; they are garbage.
I actually agree that if they like Bridgewater, take him. I think it's silly the way he's fallen down the draft boards because of a poor pro day, because they all have numerous game tapes that AREN'T scripted. TBW has been the guy I wanted since last year, one of the reasons I was 'ok' with them not taking a QB early last year.
All one has to do is watch college game films and you would know that TBW is the best QB in this draft (here come's a failwedge rant in 3...2...1...)
Remember watching TBW in the last regular season game I think...was the nigth before the steelers browns game in PIttsburgh and he looked like the best thing going at that position. The point is that saying the best QB in college football is a "solid 3rd rounder" is interesting at best. We are not talking about Terrelle Pryor or Troy Smith whose style of play doesn't translate to the NFL. TBW is a good sized pocket passer that is a smart kid. That's exactly what I'm saying. I'm not a football expert but I do watch a lot of college football and none of these guys scream to me 'Franchise QB'. To be honest, TBW is the only one that says "franchise QB" to me and he is the only one I would want in the LATE 1st rd.
