You mean a team that hasn't won more than 5 games since 2007 didn't get any primetime games?!?! No fucking way!!!!!

The league doesn't think the browns are gonna be dogshit, they were dogshit last year so they don't get prime time games this year.

Very tough concept for iggy to understand. This clearly means the browns are automatically going to have a horrible season, because NFL scheduling says so.

He will find anything to bitch about.

I spoke too soon.

When Johnny Football is leading us to the playoffs and the NFL rookie of the year we will get flexed into better primetime games as the season goes on the last half.

The the year after we will get the full compliment of Primetime games as well as the ESPN trucks at training camp as Johnny will be Tebow 2.0 as far as media coverage goes except he can actually play.

Haslam is a big time marketing guy, and literally has to be shitting himself in excitement over the possibilities of Johnny Football. At the very least dude will be in the top 5 in the league in jersey sales.

Browns fans are the worst about falling under the spell of journeymen who have a nice game or 2 but ultimately are flashes in the pan.

If they pass on Johnny Football and he is a stud somewhere else saving some other franchise (as he will) then Farmer will get what he has coming to him as Haslem will be the most irate owner in the NFL.
Hoyer may or may not be good because you were correct that he can't be judged on just a few games. Johnny football has an even smaller sample size than that.

The only thing I agree with in this entire post, is that he will be top 5 in jersey sales, regardless of where he goes.

Looking at how the schedule lines up if the browns don't fuck up the draft 9-5 or 10-6 is very possible and maybe even better. I am a bengals fan and don't see them doing better the 8-8 this year.

The way the schedule breaks down for the Bengals is fucking tough. With Dalton at QB I dont have much faith in us winning tough games. I also see us probably splitting in the division if the Browns have a solid draft.

Games I see as wins:
Tennesse
Baltimore
Jacksonville
@ Tamba Bay
Pittsburgh
Cleveland

Games that will be losses:
@Indy
@ New Orleans
Denver
@ Cleveland
@ Baltimore

the other games I wouldn't favor us in are:
Atlanta (if their healthy they are a good football team)
Carolina
@Pittsburgh
@houston (depending on their QB Play)

Don't want to get into the Bengals schedule in this thread much but I agree with pretty much all of this except they will be favored against Atlanta and Carolina. I see 8-8 for the Bengals unless Andy Dalton plays better than we think and there isn't much of a loss on defense with Zimmer gone.

*This is not a thavoice-esque post about the Browns, this is a serious post*

Just ran through the Browns schedule and IF, it's obviously a big if but IF they have good QB play I think 9-7 is attainable. Hoyer going down last year was the only thing that kept them from going 8-8 or possibly better, so I think if he's healthy the whole year or they draft a good rookie QB they can be 8-8 or better this year. Who am I kidding though, they'll be on the third stringer by week 7 as they sit at 4-2 and then go 2-8 down the stretch.

You're a fucking idiot you know that right?

The browns are not taking a QB at 4. It's just as simple as that. The ONLY way they could land JFF, is if they traded up from their 2nd first rounder. Farmer isn't doing that. Stop jerking it to some pipedream of yours and actually focus on something that could likely happen. As in, taking Robinson/Mack at the 4 spot.

In conclusion, you sound like a fucking idiot and we all hate you.

Thinking more like 11-5, 10-6 for the browns......

Mack is the second coming of Aaron Curry. Robinson couldn't even play his natural position of left tackle on this team.

Either situation would lead to a march on Berea. Haslam can't have that happening on his watch.

You don't draft a guy who will be a bust, or an O-lineman playing right tackle with the 4th pick in the draft.

And I think that's what Yahoo Sports had them doing with their latest mock (an exercise in derpness, but whatever) with the move up a couple spaces to get JFF deal. Of the main QBs in the draft, I think Bortles was whom they had going first, to Minnesota, I think, in the early 10s.

Based on what?? They were different prospects projected to have different roles and had significantly different production in college.

RT is significantly easier and he's a freak, he would easily be able to handle it.

No one has any f*cking idea who will or won't be a bust. GFTO with that nonsense

This I agree with. You don't take a RT with the 4th pick

Actually with the new rookie wage scale, a team can draft a RT in the top ten and not have to worry. A offense tackle at 4 I would not mind. Would make our oline one of the best in the league.

It already is one of the best in the league. There's areas of much greater need.

You wanna spend a 2nd-4th rounder on a tackle to improve depth, sure. But don't spend your 4th overall pick on that.

Yeah we do, we have a journeymen that Belichek the great freely let walk.

I've been watching this kid play QB since he was 14 and the next team that wins anything with him at the helm with be the first. He's a nice guy I'm sure, but he's underwhelmed everywhere he's ever been.
