Did you seriously just say we could get the #1 pick with just the #4 pick and a 3rd rounder?? You're just saying shit for the sake of talking at this point.

You are a moron. Neither team would take those trades.

A simple look at the draft value chart that most teams go by for trades laughs at what you just typed.

I will give you the total values for each trade...

Trade to Houston
Browns get-#1 value of 3,000
Houston gets-#4 and 3rd rounder value of 2050.
Houston laughs at the Browns for offering such a crappy trade.

Trade to St. Louis
Browns get-#2 value of 2,600
St. Louis gets-#26, #35, and next year's #2 value of 1,500
Surprisingly this one is actually worse than the first one you listed...and St. Louis laughs at the Browns.

Oh wait, sorry, the "Breowns".

The NFL will be providing the schedule tonight. What are the odds the browns actually open the season on the road?

Chances of a primetime game?

My roommate is hoping for setup with Manziel going at 4 and the NFL stroking JF all season with a few primetime slots.

100% since every team gets a Thursday night game.

Other than that, I only see a prime time game if the browns surprise everyone and get flexed toward the end of the season.

2008 was enough to make me not want a prime time game. Plus it fucks up my schedule.

The scheduled ones are that bad, but later in the season when a game gets flexed to SNF it can suck at times for us if we had planned on going to that game.

Sure she does.
Just it is 310 miles each way when we go to games and almost requires taking off work on Monday AM for the game.

Too bad your fandom is not near your local team to support.

At least we are opening up away for once. I think the team puts too much pressure on themselves to win week 1 at home. Not really a fan of any team opening up with a division rival, but oh well. The browns are capable of beating pittsburgh. If Pettine opens up the season with a win at Pittsburgh, that will get the fan base very fired up for week 2.

Also a week 4 bye sucks, but the Browns had a good week for a bye last year, and it didn't help them worth a shit. In fact, their bye week was coming off a good win vs the ravens, and they had 2 weeks to prepare for the Bengals. The only thing they were prepared for that game was to shit down their legs. I also find it very odd the Browns/Shitsburgh series will end after week 6.

Anyway, the last time the Browns opened up with shitsburgh (they got their ass kicked unfortunately) they ended up winning 10 games.

What will get the fan base truly fired up is watching Johnny Football run out of the tunnel for the first time wearing #2 for the Cleveland Browns.

It will represent the first time in years we were truly able to have hope things were really getting better.

If you actually think JFF (most likely sitting behind hoyer) would get the fan base more pumped up than a week 1 win over the steelers then you might as well turn in you browns fan card.

Hoyer will be the starting QB week 1. I would be shocked if the Browns took a QB at 4 and "Johnny" ain't going to be there at 26.

Just like the fan base was fired up for Brandon weeden and Trent Richardson?

You're a clown.

Kelly Holcomb all over again.

Browns fans are the worst about falling under the spell of journeymen who have a nice game or 2 but ultimately are flashes in the pan.

If they pass on Johnny Football and he is a stud somewhere else saving some other franchise (as he will) then Farmer will get what he has coming to him as Haslem will be the most irate owner in the NFL.

He may or may not be "Kelly Holcomb". It has nothing to do with fans falling under a spell. There's not going to be someone better than him come week 1 this year on the roster.

Very manageable schedule as long as they don't start 0-3.

Weeks 14-17 are tough.

The league apparently thinks we are going to be a dog shit football team this season.

We got the 1 mandatory Thursday night game and our only other non 1:00 start is against Oakland and it is a 4:25 game around mid season.
