Do ANY of you do this? Last year was the first year of this league and we did it. 10 person, I voted for a 6 team playoff, lost 6-4. I mentioned it again this year through email and someone just responded with this.

"As far as playoffs go, we had this talk last year. If you pay for both a reg season champ and playoff champ, because its a pay league everyone should have shot at playoffs. Best team in reg gets paid, who says last place team didn't have major injuries and forced him to bottom. But those guys are back for playoffs and with them he has best team. Why shouldn't he have shot at second pot of money? It's a small league unbalanced schedule, only fair for all to play and have shot at cash."

Anyone else think this is crazy, or is it just me?

Boo hoo it's not fair my team sucked, they should have a chance to get lucky and play in the playoffs. I would tell that guy to go fuck himself and stick with 6 teams.

Me and 1 other were pretty outspoken when we voted last year on the subject. His reasoning doesn't even make sense to me. Since when are Fantasy sports or just sports in general set up like that?

For 8 year olds who get participation awards and every team makes playoffs.

So yeah, tell the people in the league they're a bunch of damn 8 year old whose league is afraid of making them compete

It also sucks that the last place guy actually won the damn thing last year. Im sure that will just reinforce the minds of the people who voted against a 6 team playoff last year. "Oh I can make shitty trades, waiver pick ups etc and still get lucky as hell and win the tournament!! WOOHOO!!!"

I can understand giving money to the regular season champ, because I think that is tougher to win than the crap shoot playoffs, but allowing everyone in is a complete joke. I would ask for my money back and quit the league. Also +1 to lhslep and COA's comments. I didn't realize the pussification of this country has trickled to fantasy sports.

Asinine. We have 4 out of 12 make the playoffs. Regular season is 14 weeks, most of the payoff should go to 88% of the games, not reward for two good weeks.

We do 8 out of 12 make the playoffs which is more then I like but whatever. We also play all 17 weeks in the regular season and payout the regular season champ. Playoff matchups are always posted in the notes section so for teams in the playoffs they are actually having 2 games.

The best set up I have heard of is the Howard Stern League. Each week you can earn 2 wins. You get a win for your head to head matchup and also a win if your one of the top 6 out of 12 scorers that week.

Worst Idea Ever. I'd say it should never be more than 2/3's of the league makes the playoffs.

My league 6 out of 10 teams make it and the Division winners get a bye. Playoffs are weeks 14, 15, and 16.

I also forgot about another thing we did which was give the high scorer from each week $50. This is a $100 league. We didn't even talk about this stuff last year until literally like a half hour until the draft started(live draft at guys house) so I argued as much as I could at the time then ended up just going along with it. Also regular season champ got paid like $100. Playoff 1st and 2nd was like 200 for 1st and 100 for 2nd. Im trying sooo hard to get people to understand this just isn't how its done without much luck. Im pretty much out of ideas.

I am in agreement with everyone else that this might be the dumbest thing I've ever heard of in fantasy football. 6 is the max in my opinion. Gives division winners a bye, think that's the best way. But every team? That's a joke.

That's a pretty Shitty payout for winning the league. Also letting everyone into the playoffs is retarded.

I don't understand the math on this. $100 league with 10 players is $1000. Regular season champ gets 100. Playoff 1st was 200 and 2nd was 100....so where is the rest of the money?

Our league just voted on that the top 6 make the playoffs and the remaining 6 have a playoffs to determine the #1 the next year. I voted for it since it is better than the tanking that occurs once team know they will not make the playoffs.
