I have become SO much more a student and fan of the sport. As a kid, I was TOTALLY aloof. ZERO focus. Around 2004, all of that changed. Heck, I was exposed to and even learned a head-inside single!!!! Never heard the term before then. Never understood the term "set-up" or the necessity of such a thing. Now that I'm a coach, I've figured out the term for what I did as a kid... I rolled around, hoping I wound up on top. I had NO CLUE I could do things to maximize my ability to end up on top! Crazy, isn't it!?!?!

A little late congrats to you cruiser (18 yrs + or -). Always knew you had it in you and now the proof finally comes out. 1995 was probably the year you made the deans list and didn't have time to read up on Brakeman. Happens to all of us:D!

Junior season he had me at 14th, and considering I went 2 and out at state, he was pretty much spot on with that ranking.

Senior season he had me 4th, I ended up 2nd.

I'll greatly miss The Brakeman Report. It never felt the same when it was posted online instead of receiving the thick packet of papers in the mail. I appreciated the breakdown of each weight more than the rankings and that is what I will miss most.

Ranked 15th or 16th - qualified
7th - lossed in match to place top 6
6th - placed 5th
2nd - placed 1st

Very accurate with his picks for me.

Anyone know where you can find all previous state results? These stop at 1999.

Had me at 8th at 126 in 87.
I forget where in 86.

Brakeman Quote:
"The Southwest Regional looked rather weak until Phillips moved down.
As Kenny Ramseys workout partner for two years he has to be tough, and he could do very well here."

Glory Days.......
