Nice to know you're a "wood worker" lol! I couldn't resist! All jokes aside.... This tournament has taken off the past few years! It is shaping into one of the tougher tournaments in the area! Wish Alliance would have kept coming back! Weren't they here a few years ago? And Nelsonville York I think?? But all in all it is a good tournament, and you guys do a great job at making it not only competitive but fun for these student athletes! The big brackets are what get me! I used to love going to the Hamilton Classic because of their huge medals and the fact that the hot stat girls from hammy put them around your neck and kissed you on the cheek! Also how they spot lighted the center mat for the championship! That was cool too!

more than likely just pre-seeds. However, if I can get everything I need done AND post brackets, I most certainly will.

What I have found is that even if people don't plan on attending, and quite honestly, couldn't care less about the tournament itself, they still want to see brackets. Some about the widdling down of competitors draws us in. Like a laser beam.

So little to do, so little time. Scratch that. Reverse it.

So about three minutes after I post that,my 106 pounder texts me and let's me know he's 19-3. Grrrrrrreat. Not only not a half bad wrestler, he's also a stat savant!

Ok... A couple of things...

#1) A "CRAZY EARLY" edition of brackets are up. Before I tell you where, you need to know that I sent them to the coaches at midnight so most have not had a chance to review them. I'm sure of you Chatter folk will be quick to point out that Little Johnny is the 4 seed but beat the number 2 seed last week in a dual, but I need your coach to submit that info.

#2) Two teams have contacted me about getting some of their kids in. One is awaiting word on "weather" or not they are going to be allowed to travel north for a tournament. If their AD says no, then Lancaster joins in on the fun! (I doubt it's the whole team, just in weights that we have the room - which could be all of them, but whatever). If they go north, Hilliard Bradley is checking their options. If Lancaster heads north, and Bradley finds another tournament, then, well, these are your INITIAL brackets. If Bradley decides, by default, to come to The Cruiser Invitational - I mean let's face it, some wrestling is better than no wrestling, even if it IS down in Groveport ;) (razzing a bit, Hilliardites... just razzin) then I will adjust the brackets accordingly.

Oh yeah, last thing... In a matter of 8 hours - really two if you figure in that people are usually ASLEEP at midnight and probably wake up at 6am - I have already made 5 changes. As more coaches wipe the sleep from their eyes and get their coffee, more changes could come from them.

My guess is 132 should change but we'll see. Just saw #5 pinned #2. Well... isn't that special. :dry:

Brackets look great - a dash of Lancaster or a sprinkle of Bradley will make it even more interesting.

Looks like the snow will stop this afternoon with just a few flurries overnight so the plows should have plenty of time to clear the roads to Groveport for tomorrow morning - nice job on opening that gap in the weather Cruiser!

lol better you than me! looks like some tough seeds to figure out -- #6 at 138 is 23-4... and poor oberly... 28-2 only gets you #5 at the GREAT cruiser invitational lol

1prouddad... you beat me! Arrgh... Also, normally I like a dash of thyme or sage, but for this weekend, L-Town or B-Rad-ley might be just what the doctor ordered!

bump'n'run: Agreed. I like Oberly... A TON! He came to our Be Better Camp... Absolute worker from what I saw. It just so happens that 106 is DEEP! same with a few other weight classes. Should be fun!

EDIT: Oh yeah! And no changes in the last hour!!! Gotta be a record!

FSUBIGMAC: All coaches have been informed that the finals will be uploaded to GOhio. Honestly... this is shaping up to be a very nice tournament.

You (well, I) never like to see teams leave. But I get it. After all, it is their team. But my point is, even with the departures, I feel the incoming teams are just as strong.

Great news!!! No changes since around 8:30am!!!

Actually, Lancaster has confirmed that they are en route to Austintown. Also, Delaware has some room for a group of kids. Bradley has their choice of the Delaware tournament or our tournament. IMO, can't go wrong either way. I'll inform the masses when I find out.
