I think he gets another year, and it is deserved...

All wins are good. Part of turning a team around is bringing in a winning culture. These players are starting to learn how to win. They are learning how to finish games. A 3 game win streak is very impressive, and should not be understated because of the teams we were playing.

A 3 game win streak is nice... But you have to wonder about him winning vs. quality opponents. We have 1 out of 3 wins against quality opponents. The win against the Steelers was AMAZING, but was it really that great considering the fact it was against a Steelers team that has been mediocre all year long?

It's really questionable how good this team is. The talent level of this team is among the bottom of the NFL, but if Mangini can improve that and help us become a solid team, then maybe he deserves to win more games.

But if we're just going to be a team that beats inferior teams, then Mangini is not the coach that will turn this team around.

It doesn't matter what the Steelers were doing. They are still a good team and no matter how bad they were playing, we were worse.

Point blank, we've beaten 2 teams better than we are (Pittsburgh and Buffalo). The other two, Oakland and KC, are probably even keel with us. Though, Oakland has a few quality wins..

If you look at Buffalo's overall talent, and compared them to us, they are no better, if not worse, than us in regards to overall talent.

Offensively, yes. However, they have some players on defense.

They do own some solid wins themselves, though the QB situation over there is as bad as ours.

My point is that: Who have we beat?

I personally have no problem debating the Browns with anybody, and I have no personal problems with any of you, despite some of the things that you guys have said to me.

I just don't know how you can really consider Mangini to be deserved another chance when he added 26+ players to the team and fared no better than any other coach since we've been back since 1999.

Do I feel that coaches deserve more than 1 season? Yes.

Do I feel that Mangini has made improvements to this team? No.

Which is why I don't think he needs to be brought back. I feel like he made us worse.

I mean in 2008, at least we beat a very good team in the NYG. This season we struggled to beat a team that is most likely going to finish third in the AFCN.

We beat Buffalo because our defense was actually somewhat healthy and because Buffalo kept trying to throw the ball, instead of keeping with the running game that averaged 4+ YPC.

Either way, this team is no better, if not worse than last years team. We are only regressing as a team, instead of progressing.

I don't think there is any question that the Browns are playing better now than they were at the end of last season. There has definitely been improvement over the course of this season, and I'm not real sure how anyone who watches this team on a weekly basis can say otherwise. The mid season funk that his team went through was some of the worst pro football that I have ever watched. The fact that they could win three in a row against ANYONE was totally incomprehensible two months ago.

The first step to getting better is beating the teams that you are better than or equal to, and the Browns have been doing that over the past couple of weeks. They even snuck in a win against a team that they are worse than record wise, and it was the Steelers to boot...

In my opinion, Mangini has earned another season...but if Holmgren decides he is not part of the long term plan and they they can't work together because of different philosophies, I'm OK with canning him. There's no sense in keeping him if you know he's going to be gone after next year, unless you are waiting for Holmgren's guy (read Jon Gruden) to come back to coaching.

Barring Mangini staying next year and setting the world on fire, I predict that Gruden will be the coach of the Browns within the next couple of years. It just seems like a perfect fit.

Definitely had a blast at the game yesterday! Three wins in a row...I'll take it.

I don't care what coach you are talking about, you have to give a guy 3 years minimum to really know what you have.
