You're thinking about crony capitalism, which at this point is blatantly practiced by both parties. Sheep will be sheep and turn a blind eye as long as it benefits their "team."

Start reducing government's role in everything and you will see a reduction in crony capitalism. I always find it funny that the people who cry about evil capitalism tend to leave out the governments role.
