Latos isn't a FA until 2016.

I mispoke, but he'll start escalating salary through arbitration. Would be the time to discuss extending him and/or Bailey.

It's not a joke. He overuses young pitching, keeps them on the mound for too long and ends up ruining their arms. The human arm isn't made to throw a ball 90+MPH 110 times, 32 times a year. Dusty Baker disagrees.

And lol at all of you Reds fans hating on Baker. All the guy does it get teams to the playoffs and win. Think back 5 years ago...oh, wait...most of you didn't become Reds fans until they got good again.

Uhh, we don't want to just win and make the playoffs...this isn't Chicago, Snot, we actually try and win world series. The guy has choked on 3 teams now in the playoffs, with great teams. We'll never do anything with Dusty Baker except "just win and make the playoffs"....then lose in the playoffs.

Don't you do a sports radio show? If so, you're probably really fucking lousy at it.

Totally fucking lousy.

Most of the other 29 teams in MLB aren't the Yankees....MOST of them. You have to be patient to win a World Series. 3 years ago the Reds were the laughing stock of the NL Central, maybe even the league. If you know anything about baseball, you know it takes time to get competitive. You don't go from 72 wins to a World Series Championship in 1 year.

Just remember, the Reds have had 2 good seasons in the last 10 years.

Who says I dislike Baker? I dislike how he handles young pitching talent...but I think he's a great coach and his track record speaks volumes to that.

How are the Reds underachieving? 2 NL titles in the last 3 years, 2 trips to the playoffs in the last 3 years....

Underachieving is not winning a championship in 104 years. Or having one of the league's top payrolls and finishing towards the bottom. Don't debate a Cubs fan on underachieving! The Reds are actually overachieving in my opinion.

But all of the "new" Reds fans that came out of the woodwork 3 years ago don't understand how baseball works. It's the only sports where a plan and building process is key to success. You can't just buy a good team for an extended period of time...you have to develop it. The Reds have done a good job at developing it, stick with and trust the organization and Baker.

3 years ago the Reds were 78-84. Hardly a laughing stock. I wouldnt expect you to know this, being a moron and all.

And you can still underachieve even if you make the playoffs. Once again, i dont expect you to actually know this because of the previously stated reason.

Who are these new Reds fans?

Dusty's playoff record speaks for itself....but he has been the manager for 3 of the 7 biggest postseason collapses....for 3 different teams.

LOL! Cincinnati is the biggest bunch of fair weather fans I've ever seen! Check out the stands 3 years ago. There were people I didn't even know liked baseball all of sudden come out and say "Go Reds!" I'm not saying all, but there were a LOT!

Questioning my intelligence because you disagree with me? That seems like a good debate strategy. 3 years ago was the beginning of the turn. But they were still not very good, and you can't argue that fact. I expect you to know this, not being a moron and all, but 4 of the 6 years prior to that the Reds finished 5th in the division. That's laughable.

Ok.....I don't know what you're talking about but if that's your thought. My experiences tell me the Bengals fans are far more like that....but it's also way cheaper to hit a Reds game.

Bengals fans definitely do not have the following the reds have..reds fans are some of the best in baseball. Its really not a debate that reds fans are fair weather. That's just retarded.

It's not retarded. I've gone to many games down there where the seats were not even close to being filled. I've watched hundreds of people who I didn't even know like baseball turn in to die hard Reds fans (ETB). If you can't see that, then you weren't a fan 4-5 years ago when no one around claimed to like the Reds...which makes you one of the fair weather fans.

Lol at only being reds fans for the last 3 years. Guarantee you could go back years and the same people here would be there posting. I hated the losing years. But still watched 150-160 games a year. Not everyone is a fair weather fan...

Actually 5 years ago was the beginning of the turn. As they went with all young players and let them grow together and struggle together. And even though they lost a ton of games, they were reslly fun to watch and you could see something building.

Jesus you are super intelligent..

Fair weather fans but they don't show up to watch the games?

No one shows up because they'd rather watch from home...take a look at FSO's tv ratings for reds games and get back to us.

Hell there was a game thread started for every game this year, including early in the season, coming off a down year. Such fair weather we are.

Is the human arm made to throw a ball 90+MPH 90 times, 32 times a year? How about 85 times? What's the magic cutoff number?
