Congrats to Marysville... Their head/hands defense and counter attacks are strong, especially for mid-December. They also chain wrestle very well; I came away very impressed. I was able to see a few of their matches with Waynedale and it was intense and fun to watch.

Lancaster is also as good as advertised. The are solid from top to bottom. There was very nice talent scattered all over this tournament! Best of luck to all teams involved as they move forward.

Miller is listed at 160. Zane wrestled 138 Zack 120/126.

Nelson was leading Boswell 6-4 in the 2nd period...Boswell tried something funky...bad decision as he was stuck and pinned
Nelson majored Strope...12-3?
Boswell over Stope 8-6
Little Nelson over Spearman 4-1?

So if Miller went 160 he wrestled Stanley? how did that go, it should have been a good match as well. Maybe even better,

Miller was pinned in 0:21 . He was caught off guard but then again Stanley is quick!

Great tournament. I hate to be self centered in saying my twins got some of the best match ups in this tournament. Great competition! Zack wrestled up 3 times to 126 to get better matches and that worked out well for him. I missed Zanes 12-3 win over Stope and his OT loss to Forrider. Forrider is a great defensive wrestler and did a great job fighting off Zanes shots. I literally just saw the match on Video for the 1st time. Thats 2 losses for the twins in Over time to the same kid..LOL Zack lost in triple OT in the Jr High State finals to Noah 3 years ago! Good luck to Marysville the rest of the year, you did a great job hosting this , I hope we come back next year.

Yes I'd say Zane hit the jackpot! It's not often you can go to a dual tourney and get numerous quality matches like he did. I love his attitude on the mat. A day like that should be very valuable down the road later this season.

Alot of great matches, Forrider vs Nelson, Boyd vs Thoman, Pfarr vs Bowens, Miller vs Walker. Great wins for the Marysville kids, gotta love the Nelson boys intensity, and the Waynedale program

How did those matches go? I was hoping my son would go up against Bowens or Walker but missed the school and wt. class. I know about the Nelson/Forrider match but the others?

Pfarr over Bowens by two, Miller beat Walker I believe in overtime. Great match between Thoman n Boyd, Boyd winning 3-2
