Who all is going this yr?
Heard Davidsons out but picked up D3 top 5 teams in Waynesdale and Mechanicsburg.
Not sure who else but also Harrison may be gone too(Marion and Hoben??). Springboro still in so it should still be a solid field.

Marysville
Springboro
Darby
Canal Winchester
Waynedale
Mechanicsburg

Who else rounds out the field?

Upgraded field this yr.
I forgot about GC.

Yes....many new teams.....IMO a definite upgrade. Both Waynedale and Mechanisburg will be competing in the D3 state duals later this season (as well as Marysville representing D1). It will be very interesting to see how these teams are seeded. On paper there should be some outstanding individual matches.....there are some studs on these teams!

tough dual tourney, im excited to see what marysville is looking like this year (Ive posted my expectations/thoughs on here already haha) cruiser, possibly going to film this year again?

Can't. I'm the head coach this year. Last year, my brother was and he rode the bus home, while a friend and I left the Dublin and travelled out for the finals. This year, I'll be the one riding the bus home. Ya know, this head coaching job is really interfering with my face time!!!

Sat am is an ACT testing day.....so there is a good chance some of these teams may have some big holes in their lineups for the morning matches.

Big wins for Marysville kids, Forrider over Nelson (Waynedale) in OT, Boyd beats Thoman (Springboro) in a rematch of last year's consi-semis at the district tournament, Austin Pfarr beats 2x sq Bowens, Freshman Sepeda beats district placer Valenti and as tired as I am the entire tournament was cleaned up and I was on my way to my car by 8:00. Thanks to our parents, stats, and volunteers for a great day of wrestling.

Great tourney mp! I always enjoy your tourney.
The finals match was epic with Waynedale.
The Forrider Nelson OT match was a treat followed by 4 strait WD pins with some incredible spladles! Then MV roared back to win it. I didnt mind too much having to wait for that 9th place match finish for an open mat for our 3rd place match.

Hats off to Coach moody and the Darby boys placing 4th from an 8 seed! You boys wrestled hard! Keep working hard and good things will come.

Very well ran tournament....This Waynedale father was very pleased with the competition and hospitality! Tough matches. Some of the scores are not indicative of how close some of these matches were. We would get down then just hit a flurry...and the MOMENTUM would swing!

The Waynedale (D-III) vs Marysville (D-I) match for the title was worth admission alone!!! FULL of exciting matches!!!! The crowd was really in it.

Congrats to my Bears for a great showing (2nd) and to Marysville on the title! Good Luck in the State duals and the remainder of your season!

Congrats to Marysville for rolling thru the competition today......

I came away VERY impressed with the squad from Waynedale. Wow....what a bunch of hammers in the middle of that lineup. I think they can make some noise in the D3 duals.

CTL....agree about the Forrider/Nelson OT match.....was my favorite of the tourney....outstanding. There were loads of state quality matches throughout the day.

Tough break for the CW kids....In their pool, CW tied for 3rd with Indian Lake and Dublin Scioto. First criteria looked at is unsportsmanlike penalty points. CW was in line to win the tiebreaker...until it was discovered that they had suffered an unsports. penalty point earlier in the day. One of the CW wrestlers had run off the mat to a waiting trashcan....thought he was going to lose it. Obviously a no-no....no doubt technically the correct call as he was hit with the penalty point for leaving the mat (ref said if he had actually thrown up there would have not been a penalty assessed). But still a very tough pill to swallow....to drop from wrestling for 5th all the way down to the 9th place match.
