Good teams shouldnt let the elements matter.

Time for the excuses to end.

We didn't look so hot on turf last week and that was supposed to favor us.

The DR record was very nice to see. They featured both the Smithies return to some success, as well as WH. Certainly not "bulletin board material" as stated, because we all know the DR is in bed with Orrville sports.....geesh!

Knights will try and stay with the Juggernaut that is Orrville football. Don't think we can this year, but the young men will give it their all, that's for sure. 52 hours and counting my friends. Good luck to both teams Friday night.

I think this will be a good game. I just don't see the Riders giving up 300+ yards (WH average) on the ground. However, the Knights will be playing the most penalized team (Orrville) and the team with the most turnovers (Orrville) in the OCC...ANYTHING can happen when the Riders give the ball away and shoot ourselves in the foot like we have done all season.

Here is to a good and injury free game!

WH is big up front and if they consistently pound the ball between the tackles they will neutralize the speed of Orrville. If WH can control the tempo of the game they will come out victorious.

Your wrong! Our defense is good because of speed, but it is great because our scheme is designed to stop the run.

Neutralize our speed?? Or do you mean, wear down our front seven??

We matchup well with what WH wants to do....and that is run the ball. Our speed just allows the defense to react faster and get more black hats to the ball.

Game will stream over the internet at www.thevoiceofholmescounty.com

There's instructions on that site on how to listen to the game via cellphone. Folks at the game and at home can dial in and listen to the game. Wish WQKT had that option.

I think the knights are greatly improved and Orrville has struggledd in the past against this type of offense. However, I see the Raiders winning this one, but WH (not young) will keep it very interesting for 3 qtrs, 21-14 Riders after 3, with a final of 34 14. if it rains pretty good, it will be closer. I did hear WH bailed the field this morning in case of rain. Can't waste it u know.

Had an 8th grade game on the field today. Didn't walk up to check the conditions, but if we get rain as they are calling for, it will make for a grind out slugfest.

Watched some film tonight........I see what you're talking about with the mistakes/penalties on the Riders.

Orrville's 2 losses.....9 turnovers and 18 penalties. 21 total points scored in those 2 losses.

If we can keep the ball, finish drives with scores instead of turnovers and drive-killing penalties and lean on our defense, I think we win a close one.

Has D-Tanner kicked a field goal since week 2 at Triway. I know he had 1 that game...pretty sure that's it.

He should be kicking off period. No excuse. Probably coaching again. They would rather kick some stupid squibb kick

I don't think so because we usually kill drives when we are in FG range...he could've had a game winning FG.

Tanner's 34 yarder against Triway is the only FG, which is 1 more than W.Holmes.
