Dad4Sports - Canal had a pretty solid showing.

I'm curious how Conrad is doing? That will definately help to fill the line-up when he returns.

Conrad Rosch is chomping at the bit to get back on the mat. Everthing still points to an early January return....

Long drive to Marysville at 5:30AM...but it was a nice event. FYI..not that it is a big deal, but Harrison is not actually "Cincinnati Harrison"..it is just plain ol' Harrison. We are located on the extreme Western border of the Greater Cincinnati area right on the Oh/In border. The team was DI SW District Champs last year over...graduated 4 state qualifiers including a champ from that team.

Don't let the final dual scores fool you..there were good individual matches going on in all of our duals. 140 was a nice weight. The Scioto 140 kid was very tough at that is who we voted for MVW. Would like to see the Davidson team again, but at full strength. Lil Disabato is a stud...gee didn't see that coming did you. Love the cage fighter gear they were all rockin'. They had some very nice kids that are only "supposed" to be back ups. Someone forgot to send that memo to those kids. I would say that they were the toughest "group" that the Harrison team faced as a whole. We were also hoping to face Marysville as they have a few podium quality studs that we wanted our better guys on the mat with. Darby had some tough kids as well. 103 and 112 especially. We did not know much about them collectively coming in and they wrestled very hard to the final whistle in the finals.

We are very proud of our kids at this point in time but we have a long way to go. Had three very young kids making their Varsity debut's and all three won matches.

Someone mentioned Wadsworth and wondering how good they are after beating Harrison so bad in week #1. My response to that is YES..they are the REAL DEAL and I predict they will the state title this year. Remember that they beat St. Ed's in two duals last season and did not graduate anyone. B Squire is BACK... He was runner-up at Ironman this past weekend. If OU does get him...it is a steal. Wadsworth made our best wrestlers look..well...not like they normally look. We won only 1 bout against them... We had two others that were close/winnable, but even those matches went their way. Even had Gordon on his back 2X for about a nanosecond. They are a very good team and it will be interesting to see if they can get all their guns to state and win the title.. Coach G said that group of kids is a once in a lifetime group.

I look forward to watching the Central District Teams compete the rest of the way. Might see a couple more at Medina in a week or so.

Nice comments....thestuff142

Only referred to you as "Cincinnati Harrison" because that is how the Columbus Dispatch always lists teams that are out of the area, so people that may not be that familiar know where the teams are from......like Cincinnati Moeller, Cleveland Glenville, Massillon Perry, etc.:)

It was easy to see that the Harrison kids all were very strong....how many seniors and juniors does this year's squad have?

Very nice comments indeed stuff!
Thanks for the nice comments on Darby and on our 103 Booth and 112 and Donatelli. Both are good wrestlers and quality kids and both are freshman that got their varsity cherries Sat.
They were both Jr High State qualifiers the past 2 yrs with the 112 a state placer last yr. Hopefully these young men will have a nice hs career.
We'll look forward to seeing you at Medina also.
Harrison is the real deal! Good luck to you guys this yr. It will be nice to keep track of you guys thruout.

McCombs (125) from Marysville must have since he was the MVP...

Harrison probably had multiple guys do it, Languis (Scioto) and DiSabito (Davidson) probably did it. The winner of the Forrider vs. Longwell match maybe? I'm sure there were others....Weeks?

Canal Winchester had:

Pressley (285) 5-0
Brady (112) 4-1
Hutchins (125) 4-1 lost to McCombs
Tullius (130) 4-1
Bellomy (160) 4-1

I believe Zev Green, Nate Weeks, Noah Forrider, Josh Sisler and McCombs all went 5-0 for Marysville.
Cody Sobas, Tyler Miller and Caleb Marsh 4 - 1.
