Just stick with it Gardens, I feel like it might pick up a bit...
Had a wrestler ask if I had a "schedule" of when he would be wrestling in the JV tourney today.

Two Things-
I quoted both Loudain Swain and Wes Wesley this weekend...
There are camera crews following some of our youth wrestling clubs around because they're doing a reality show about the sport. I chose not to interview with them.
Oh three things I guess... My daughter started wrestling this year. She placed at the novice level in her first national tournament. I hope they didn't get my reaction on their crazy reality live cams. I'm sure I looked like a total nut job which would add credence to the camera crew's statements that, "wrestling appears to be it's own sub-culture that has cultish qualities." The camera crew did not know who Wes Wesley or Loudain Swain was. They also stood next to an Olympian for a good twenty minutes without knowing it.

No. Nor did I see the Boom. I did however use every version of they're, there, and their correctly.

My 8 year old boy strapped on a pair of wrestling shoes for the first time this past Sunday night. What a great kid.

That's spectacular!!!! May you never experience memories of being launched off the mat by a ref because you went "daddy crazy" or "parent crazy" on the ref!!! (I'm not speaking from personal experience here!)

We'll see. He's a tender-hearted kid. If he can recognize that between the whistles he can be as intense as the rules will allow, the sport would be good for him. We'll see where the road leads.

Awesome! A few more years for my boy and he will be out there. He has shoes already but just wears them around the house. He's into spiderman, wanted spiderman shoes. I bought the white adidas combats and dyed them blue and red lol. Your boy has alot to live up to with the 4x sectional qualifier slate! Is he doing little cruiser program?

He'll most likely go with the Little Warrior Program out at Watkins. That MIGHT make for the end of cruiser_96 as the head man at GMHS. I think too often I'm guilty of trying to be 20 to 30 kids' mentor or dad, and as a result, fail to be that for the one truly in my charge.
It's a difficult balance. Here's hoping I find it.

You help and mentor way more than 20 to 30. ive been bringing mine to ya all summer for last 6yrs.( you know your loyal whitehall kid). Dont beat yourself up, your a great man and thank you for that! Get ready for the best expierence ever watching YOUR boy become a man. on and off the mat. See ya next sat.
