My personal favorite was "I saw your tri with Team A and Team B and quite frankly it will be no contest".

Who in there right mind would say something like that in a seeding meeting? I hope that coachs' team delivers because he will look like an awfully big arse if thats not the case. I was looking at the teams on the list and I couldn't think of a head coach that would be that brash. Tell me it was an assistant, please for the luv...

Two things: Number one, and much to my amazement, we WERE at a "seating" meeting last night. Said so right at the top of the files being used!

Number two: I'll be surprised if they don't deliver. They are very good from top to bottom. Besides that, Lancaster is their a) obstacle or b) biggest threat.

I like the head coach in question quite a bit, but their overall approach to seeding (seating) was full of hubris. I was told by one of their assistant coaches after the meeting, "NO ONE in Central ohio wrestles OUR schedule." After contemplating for a short time, I called an emergency meeting with my team last night. In a locked basement in a seedy part of New Jersey, I announced the immediate disbanding of our program due to the lack of quality schedule. I struck each wrestler (varsity, JV and freshmen, alike) with a wet, rolled newspaper. I cut off my ear, Van Gogh style. I cursed the heavens. Lastly, I cried myself to sleep in the arms of a prison Capo.

Discuss.

After talking with one of our coaches I believe the team in question was W. North. Having seen some of their results it looked as if the only out of town tournaments they wrestled in were Medina and the Moeller duals. Medina is a solid tournament, but not what it once was. I rank it fourth behind Iron Man, Brecksville, Top Gun, and I might even throw in the GMVWA. As far as the duals, I don't recall the postseason being a dual tournament. I myself have not seen W. North this season, but I will certainly take Cruisers word for it. I only saw them on t.v. when they got manhandled by Liberty.

Lancaster is good... but they ain't Liberty. Liberty would do the same to the Cruisers. TWICE, even!!!

What the hell is the difference if you wrestled at Medina and went 0-2 or the cruiser invitational and went 0-2? You still suck, you just wasted more gas money and people's time to do it.

Westerville North Schedule
1. Moeller Duals
2. Medina duals -defeated Parma Normandy and Medina
3. Medina Tournament
4.Marysville, #1 Div 1 Liberty, #1 Div 2 Olentangy, Darby, #1 Div III West Jefferson, Lexington
5. Licking Heights Tournament(Weakest tournament on our schedule and we won it)
6. Rieman Deleware Hayes Tournament (Look up all the teams that were there because im not wasting anymore of my day than i have to)

Match it and don't cancel us off your schedule. The way it sounds to me is that there was a conspiracy against the small man with big arms during black history month.

When looking at seeding, strength of schedule does matter. If i was 25-3 with my losses coming in the finals of the Ironman, Beast of the East, and Medina and Mark Neiman was 25-1 with his only loss coming in the finals of the Cruiser Classic but that was the toughest tournament he competed in all year who would you seed first? Records count and if the wrestler who has fewer losses has a tougher schedule, that wrestler should get the higher seed without question. I wasn't there last night, but from the sounds of it it was a complete debacle and A.D. outwitted all of you.

Some of this is for fun and some is the truth, guess we will just have to back up our bold statements we made last night. I'm upset that I have to work and won't be able to attend because I'm not sure Grant is going to be able to hold A.D. back by himself! Good Luck to all of you with that one HAHAHA

This has gotten out of hand. The meeting was a little rowdy, but lets just wrestle and get this excellent post-season started.

Westerville North and Lancaster are the teams to beat on paper...lots of solid kids throughout all weights. Good luck to all.

Nobody, and I mean nobody can judge who "outwitted" who regardless of their debate skills until the matches are wrestled bro, and that is fact. Until the moment of truth, it is all conjecture.

Make NO mistake... Mark Niemann WAS NEVER NOR WOULD HE EVER BE 25-1. Not even if I wrestled the proposed Orange schedule given above.

Also, slow-n-steady: Why would that be? Please enlighten me.

Stay light and jovial, men. Let's all take a deep breath and relax. (That was mainly for you Richy!)

I received a call today in order to clear some things up. I think ... I think... I think everybodies main point was, for the last three or four years, we have been set straight on the rule (for it comes up every year) on how "seats" 1, 2, 3 and 4 are to go. This year, when #4 stated they wanted to go in the bottom with #'s 2 and 3 the statement was made, "Hey, (implied here is based on the last few years) you can't do that."

A fellow coach came in and stated, "Hey guys, remember the last few years... #4 has to go in the remaining open quarter." Well, he was then later trumped by the SAME GUY who set the rule in place over the past 3 or 4 years when said guy walked into the room and said, "No. We're not doing it that way this year."

A) Nice of you to inform us all, and B) did you JUST decide that!?!

ps: I do believe that this was the same guy that stated that the 5 match rule will only come into play for the 5th place match. (Hey Einstein, run a bracket! It can happen in the 3rd place match as well!!!)

I'll say my, but OUR would not be overreaching, point of concern is why all the sudden the change. If no change had REALLY been made, you just screwed a guy who made the decision based on the change. Thanks a million, jack wagon!

Point number two: I have NEVER posted OR stated that any weight class needs to be redrawn. If you are reading this, and YOU are the one that told the lies to a man that would throw me threw a brick wall with his left hand, or, how did he put it, "Cuts off my balls" then stop lying. You are just making MORE work for Boyd/Johnstone. Somehow, and I could NEVER prove this, I have a feeling that is was Hammons. And I'm not so sure Grant remained silent on the topic. :D :D :D

Saturday will come go, and life will (and in mine better be a part of this!) go on. Pretty please!?

Point #3 just because: This has NOTHING to do with anyone's kid directly. Nor does it have to do with any certain coaching staff. It has EVERYTHING to do with where can "seats" go given the open lines. No more, no less.
