Isn't it though; one guy advocating for American capitalism, the other advocating for Marxism.

Another funny statement.wkfan;946857 wrote:...and blame the 'previous 40 years administration'.
I see no evidence of any management skills unless you are a fan of top down unilateral management. (Remember that bus?) Denning and the Japanese have proved there is a better way. All the indicators point that the direction he is taking Ohio is off the cliff, but keep on believing for three more years. Meanwhile don't forget to vote in a couple of weeks. Local tax hikes for everyone complements of the idiots in Columbus passing the buck to the local governments.QuakerOats;946782 wrote:As I said before; it is not a popularity contest; it is a management issue. He is doing the job that needs to be done, and that is all that matters. He could care less if it offends a few people, and I could care less either. Real leaders have to make real decisions that chart a path for the better; he gets an A for that so far.
If you took your blinders off and lost the personal vendetta you might understand.
Fixed it for you again.Writerbuckeye;946802 wrote:If only Kasich WERE doing the right thing. I guess we can all dream.
As for Obama: he's trying to change the culture of a state that has been an economic failure for decades. It's obviously an uphill battle.
Hmmm....not the statement that I made.Bigdogg;947207 wrote:Another funny statement.

Please make your own statements and stop editing the words of others.
Hey bright boy all you got? How about sticking to the topic once in a while. I know you would like to get this thread shut down again. Your stuck with Kasich and the only way to defend his actions is by making smart ass comments that have nothing to do with the post or by attacking me personally. You got a problem with me you can PM me. We can work it out. I am a reasonable man.Writerbuckeye;948133 wrote:Please don't encourage him.

It's that damn droid. Those little buttons with letters on them are pretty tricky.QuakerOats;948074 wrote:I think you mean Deming?
Try again.
I merely stated the fact that Kasich did exactly what he said he was going to do, make decisions without input from anyone else including members of HIS OWN party. To govern that way is ripe for failure, which is where he is heading. As for more local control, Kasich is not giving up any control, in fact there is committee work right now in the state taking over the collection responsibilities for municipalities. What he has done is shifted the tax burden on down the line. Sounds like to conflicting policy decisions to me.QuakerOats;948238 wrote:Perhaps your dumbest post ever, and that is saying something.
On the one hand you are essentially saying you favor a decentralized system of management, i.e. a more local grass roots based style of management/governance. Then you turn around in the last sentence and blast the idea of a centrist/statist government relinquishing its onerous taxation and regulation, as though the localities can't handle governing themselves. Bizarre.
I think most of us are FOR more local control and more local taxes, at the expense of higher state and federal taxes. Local governance, local accountability, local transparency are the keys to future prosperity. I am glad the state has reduced marginal income tax rates; all we need now is to rid ourselves of the radical union powers still holding us hostage to unsustainable and unaffordable public sector compensation.

Just trying to defend ya, broski. I'd hate for the board to get the idea you were too stupid to actually spell.
Sorry, not my take on the unions. You need to educate yourself better on public unions. Who will stand up with us against John Kasich and his rewarding of his friends with millions of our tax dollars. Look at who is behind the school voucher programs and the testing programs. Follow the money and the truth will set you free.QuakerOats;948371 wrote:bigdogg ---- in case you didn't see the footage from Wisconsin, there is no dealing with the militant public sector union 'leadership' ... they have a monopoly (on taxpayer money)and they intend to keep ---- through all means possible. They are in a hissy fit because they are finally having to answer for their greed, and they will stop at nothing to demonize anyone in their way --- and that is where Kasich comes in; we finally have someone standing up to the greed on behalf of the middle class taxpayer ...... and it is about G*d D*mn time!
No say at the table? Clearly the most stupid statement you ever made, and that's a long list of stupid.QuakerOats;948441 wrote:How is getting a massive premium to private sector pay and benefits being exploited. We can continue down the path to complete insolvency, or we can change it. You want to stick your head in the sand and act like a crisis is not at hand, but the responsible people among, including Kasich, want to fix the problems for the benefit of all.
Hilarious. With all the anti-Wall St. sentiment that was out there when he first ran, and the negative ads Strickland's people ran that kept trying to make him out to be some Wall St. fatcat...and now you're saying those ties are what "bought" him the election?stlouiedipalma;948915 wrote:Kasich is well on his way to being a one-term Governor.
