Are you going to name the people who said he was going to be an all star, or are you conceding to the fact you just completely made that up as usual?

We agree to disagree. Didn't Lebron bring Hickson around with him the previous summer? I always thought Lebron treated Hickson like a little brother, so it might have been hard for Hickson to deal with Lebron leaving. Maybe I'm looking too much into that aspect, but you cannot deny that Hickson's game struggles without Lebron.

actually you can say its about the same. he turns it over a little more and shoots a little worse, but he is scoring and rebounding more. sort of evens out.

Gibson sprained his ankle pretty bad and is not going to be making the west coast trip. With him being one of the few players that gives a damn about playing defense, there's a very good chance opposing teams might average around 120 points this trip, starting with Golden State who could be ridiculous.

As for JJ, the maturity is just not there. It wasn't there last year either, it was just masked by the fact that it didn't affect the team as much. I haven't agreed with Scott with a lot of the decisions he's made in his time here but his disciplining of JJ is one I can definitely get on board.

You are correct in that it evens out. But the point is, he was averaging the same numbers on a 60 win team last year as he is on one of the worst teams in the NBA this year. This being his 3rd year, you would expect him to turn that corner which I think is a little surprising that he hasn't.

You can't compare playing alongside those guys with Lebron. Lebron is much more of a creator for teammates than any of those guys. Not even sure if you thought before saying that?

I dont care if Lebron is a creator or not. Was Michael Jordan a 'creator" for his temmates? Would Scottie Pippen have been mentioned in the top 50 of all time without playing alongside Jordan?

I'm not going through the thousands of Cavs posts to find who said Hickson would be an All Star, but it was said. It obviously isn't the opinion of the majority. But remember there was a guy on here who thought Varejao had the potential to be a Hall of Famer. Dumber things have been stated.

Yes, others are creators and benefit from playing alongside great players. But you proved my point with Hedo. He fits that time and plays well off of Howard, and that is why he is scoring more. Hickson was perfect for Lebron and played well off of him. Just because someone plays alongside a great player doesn't mean that great player makes them better. Many would argue that Kobe is selfish at times and doesn't find the open guy.

Lebron is possibly the best passer in the NBA and can get to any spot on the court. Also, he the best player in transition in the NBA. Hickson benefited from being able to finish around the rim, rebounding missed shots when his defender was out of position and running with Lebron.

Don't want to get in the middle of another inevitable pissing match, but I do remember someone saying Varejao had HOF potential and I do believe someone said the same about Mo Williams.

Was it in jest? If not, what an idiotic statement. The fact of the matter is Dynasty is trying to group cavs fans as a whole when he makes these claims. If zero to 1 person says it, then why even mention it? That would be like me bringing up the fact that capone said Joe Thomas is overrated, and group all steelers fans with that statement.

Yeah I think everyone is in agreement that Mo is not HOF worthy. I quoted your question only because that's what I was responding to. I highly doubt anyone on here is going to come running to Mo's defense.

It might have been SQ when he was here. He was so in love with LeBron that he seemed to think his presence was elevating half the team to HoF status. Because I do know someone was inflating Mo Williams a lot and possibly Andy, too.

SQ is the guy who said Mo, Andy, and somebody else would become HOF'ers with LeBron and multiple championships.

I think most people expected JJ to average 15-18 PPG and grab 8-10 boards a game...

He clearly has the talent to do it, but again, he just doesn't have the mentality. He may be the mentally weakest player the Cavs have had in years, and yes, that includes Delonte. At least Delonte brought it while on the court.

JJ just seems like a bitch at time while on the floor. But when he's actually got a mind for the game, he can turn in some good performances.

IMO, it's time to blow this shit up. Including JJ.

If he did average that, an All Star appearances wouldn't be out of the question. I think some were comparing him to Horford, who made the All Star game last year while averaging 14 and 10.

I def think JJ has the potential to put up at least 15 and 10. He just needs to figure it out mentally. Missing practice and clowning around isnt going to get him anywhere with Byron Scott.

The kid is averaging 10 and 5 in just over 20 minutes a game. Give him starter minutes and hes putting up 15 and 10 imo. Its all up to JJ at this point, he has the skill, he just needs to grow up.
