Home sick today, so surfing the web a little and saw this.
At 112 Smith from Ready beat Edwards opening weekend at Hamilton Township. He deserves the 1 spot unless the result is changed on the mat.
Some consideration should be given to River Valley's 189, Clay Rollison, who is still undefeated on the year.

Well Amanda has a couple that is doing very well so far. I'm sure they may take some lumps but they have looked good. One of them placed 3rd at the Desales invite in December.

Which one of the 3 listed at 140 would you move your freshman DeSales Invite 3rd place finisher ahead of?
140: 1. Alexander (Centerburg), 2. Corns (Amanda-Clearcreek), 3. Knapp (Ready).
Seriously though, as has been mentioned by Fireball, unless you are talking about an exceptional talent (see Bobby Smith), a 9th grader is not going to be placed in front of a more mature experienced wrestler who has a proven track record. That's not to say that these 9th graders can't jump up and bite one of these ranked guys. But with 27 D3 Central District teams, it's not reasonable to expect these freshmen to be ranked.....

Your wrestler is very good. He'll have his time on this list but probably the next 3 years.....

I agree, time will tell. To be honest it's better for them to stay under the radar anyways and just wrestle. To answer your question though, he has already beaten Corns once and Corns has beaten him twice, I believe he moved to 135. The other Freshmen is wrestling 103, he's pretty good as well, and probably being a lower weight class has a good chance to make some noise. But like I said earlier time will tell, and I'm certain they will take some lumps along the way... It'a all good, they just need to prove themselves and stay focused.

I'll take Corns 99 out of 100 times. He had his one already... Let's be realistic. Amandas 135 is going to be really good but experience speaks for itself. Did you forget that he was pinned in the 1st period by the kid from Desales that Corns TF'd ? I really like both kids alot, but a lucky win in a wrestle-off is just that.
That being said... LETS GO ACES win the LE duals!

I'm following now I think. So we want a kid ranked ahead of his teammate?

Not to sound rude, but apparently you are not following... This kid is not wrestling @ 140 now, he moved to 135 the other freshmen is @ 103, they are both really good is all I'm saying and was wondering if Freshmen ever get ranked.. That was the jist of my question, but somone else mention the other 3 @ 140 and I simply was stating that the freshmen was @ 140 and has already beaten one of them. With that said, I would argue that Corns my deserve #1, but of course I don't know the other wrestlers and I'm certain they are all very very good and deserve to be where they are. Time will tell, there are always upsets along the way, other kids that end up being better than expected and some that may not live up to there projections due to injury or whatever.
Fireball I agree with you, the from the meets I've been to the Corns kid is a stud and should really make some noise well into the state this year. He looks like he is strong as an ox. Go Aces.
