Worthington Kilbourne would like to offer either a spring or fall open tournament. I've seen a few posted. We are not looking to compete with other spring or fall tournaments, but provide one where there may be an interest. Any advice on the best time to offer a spring or fall open tournament would be greatly appreciated.

It depends on if you want to get a lot of wrestlers to show up and have big double elimination brackets, or have a smaller turnout but have 4-6 man round robin (so more wrestling).

Any open tournament from late October through mid November and March through May/June will be the lower turnout/round robin as they are either "early" or late in the season.

If you want a huge turnout, have one between those times.

Oh, and "advertise" it on www.ohiowrestler.com, its where most youth wrestlers check for open tournaments.
