After watching some of the combine, feel free to roast me, but I wouldn’t be against Barkley at 1 and Jackson at 4.

Y’all are killing me. The combine is great for getting legit speeds and height/weight/hand size, the rest is bullshit. There are at least 2 years of film on everyone that is much more important.

I know I know. But when you think about the value he’d bring and he won’t be there at 4. He’s a Leveon Bell type who’s going to give your production both in the run and pass game. He’s not your typical RB. He’s more valuable at his position over other rb’s than any of the qb’s are you can get at 4.

Someone on Twitter asked Grossi what he thought of the QB workouts, to which he responded he didn't see them because he left. He then went on to block several people criticizing him.

Sounds like Rosen & Allen were the ones who wowed everyone but Jackson was good too. Hearing Darnold not throwing may have made him drop.

...and no way Barkley will be there at 4, so Allen/Rosen & Fitzpatrick would be excellent first rounders

ANd you actually believe that? You think Darnold will drop because he didn’t throw at the combine?

Minimizing the impressiveness of those numbers. He is a monster and he wowed everyone at the combine. But then I get on here and you say his numbers didn’t scream “top 4 pick”?

I’d also be ok with qb 1/ Chubb at 4. Will be interesting if Colts stay at 3 or not

Who was minimizing his numbers? What I was saying was that just because he put up those numbers, it doesn't mean the Browns need to take him high but someone will. Using a top 4 pick on a RB, especially considering who the head coach is and how he uses, or in Hue's case, DOESN'T use a RB, would be a wasted/luxury pick.

If he was being considered for the #1 overall pick while others decided to throw? Maybe. Not saying he's drop to the 2nd round but he could slip a few spots (still top 6).

Those numbers prove what we already knew—he’s a physical freak. I’m not necessarily screaming for him to be a Brown, but if he’s there at 4, we’ve got our QB at 1, and our FO have him as the BPA, he should be the pick. A player like Barkley, who is explosive as a RB, WR , and KR, is so important in today’s NFL. If we can lock up someone like that, who the hell would be pissed about that?

+1 it would be a dumbass pick and why bad teams like the browns remain bad. RB is the least of the browns' concerns.

Lack of explosive players on offense is actually pretty damn high on my concern list.

If they sign McCarron in FA, I think it's very possible that they take RB & QB, at 1 & 4, but not in the order you mention. Not that I like it but I can see them taking Barkley at #1 and a QB at #4. Like me, I don't think they're bowled over by any of these QB's.

A certain Chicago resident may not like to hear this, but the 'Barkley at 1, BQA at 4' is really picking up steam on sports talk radio...not only was this the topic on conversation on Clay Travis (yeah, he's a douche, but he still has quite a following), but was trending on G&W as well. Funny how I said this two months ago, and quite frankly it was tongue-in-cheek to get a reaction on here--now I'm not so sure that this won't happen.

Been hearing a bit of Barkley at 1, Mayfield at 4. Wouldn't be thrilled with a RB at #1 overall but I wouldn't kill them if those were the two they ended up with.
Even if they go with Barkley at 1, there's a good chance either Darnold or Rosen (for those who like him) to be there at 4 unless someone trades up with Indy at 3. If they aren't thrilled with either Darnold or Rosen, but like Mayfield, they can still get their guys at 1 & 4.
Can't guarantee Barkley would be there at 4 as he'd be tempting for Indy, assuming Luck is healthy and they don't surprise everyone and go QB.

Anyone but Rosen at 1 and I’ll be pissed off. Especially a RB at 1. Barkley is good bu he leaves a lot of yards on the field and misses holes quite a bit. I’ll go on record saying Barkley won’t even be the best rb in this class. If we take him at 4 I can live with it but give me Rosen and Fitzpatrick or Chubb at 4 and be done with it

A defense that couldn't stop the Steelers B squad making Landry Jones look like Tom Brady is higher on my concern list. WRs tend to make more explosive plays than RBs in today's NFL. Duke Johnson is a serviceable back, that hopefully Haley can utilize much better than Hue. Give me Duke and a RB in the 3rd and I am fine with that position.

I know I say this a lot, but there are certain things the Browns FO can do with this draft that might legitimately be the final straw for me. Like the previous drafts where we had a shit ton of picks, this draft can completely change the direction of the entire franchise. If they once again do something that all of us armchair GMs know is idiotic (draft a rb with the first pick, 4th pick, draft josh allen, don't draft a QB and roll with mccaron, etc) then I can safely say this franchise will never have any hope. Also, fuck this "I trust" Dorsey bullshit. At this point, no GM deserves our trust until they prove it. I don't give a fuck if we hired a GM with multiple titles under his belt.
