+1 for Kansas. Drove through it at least 10 times. Most recently got stuck in that insane snow storm a few weeks ago. Spend 3 nights in a hotel in beautiful Salina. Never doing that drive in winter again.

Damn I loved living in Dallas

Anything west of Lawrence Kansas was terrible. The drive to Colorado thru Kansas is awful but I will also say the Pennsylvania turnpike is also an awful drive. It’s like the same places at each exit

posted by friendfromlowryWest Virginia is fine with me. If we’re strictly talking about driving through I would prefer the Forest/hills/mountains of WV vs boring Indiana for example.
But those windmills

Georgia has thousands of people who voted for MTG. Georgia should be considered.
Savannah and Augusta saves the whole state.

I'll take PA. At least there's topography and trees and shit.
Kansas is just flat nothing and truck stops.

HA! I just did my best state + D.C. and NJ came in 42nd for me, out of 42, that I could rate. I have "been too" 50/51 (Hawaii), but only spent real time in 42 of them so I only rated those. Its such a dump and POS. Great food scene as far as Pizza, Delis and Diners go, but yeah. It was an easy last place for me when I thought about it.

NJ has the worst drivers of any state I have been to, even worse than the old people in FL.
Their highway, ramp, and toll systems are by far the worst in the country.
You are either in the ghetto (Camden), the “Jersey Shore” douchebag area, or the pretentious type area. There seems to be no “normal/suburban” areas for normal people.
Food wasn’t bad, but that’s about the only thing NJ has going for it. And they believe their beaches are amazing….its laughable (some are ok, but none are amazing).
