I believe we landed on the moon. But I can’t figure out why we haven’t gone back...

The problem with most (not all) conspiracies is the sheer volume of people that'd need to keep their mouths shut in order to pull it off. Large groups of people cannot keep secrets especially over long periods of years. That's why I don't believe most.

I believe that it was a done deal in 1995 that Al Learner would be the new owner of the future Cleveland football franchise if he helped Modell move the current one. I believe that other groups bidding on it were just for show to try to hide how dirty Learner was in the move.

I've never been one to believe any of the conspiracy theories. Too many moving parts in most of them. I'll entertain listening to them for fun, but I never really believe any of them.

I love watching and reading conspiracy theories. No idea what would be real or not, but man...they make for real good entertainment.

Take the example of Watergate.  It was a "conspiracy" in terms of it being a plan among many actors.  It turned out to be a relatively simplistic operation.  And yet there are at least dozens if not hundreds of people who were involved or who had knowledge of the thing that have talked about it a length over the years.  Imagine the moon landing or Kennedy assassination in comparison - exponentially more complex.  Yet no one directly involved has ever broken and talked.  That just does not meet the smell test.

I don't know, I guess it depends on which Kennedy conspiracy you're referring to.  If it was as simple as the mob wanting to take him out then it's not that big of a circle.  And the mob is better than most at keeping secrets.

Speaking of the mob, I guess the only conspiracy theory I really believe is that they killed Hoffa.  But I'm not sure that qualifies as a conspiracy theory.

Most of the big mafia efforts over the past century have come out over and over again from people talking.  Plus, unlike The Godfather, mob guys aren't very sophisticated in general.  I don't think they'd have been able to keep it quiet this long - not to mention either hose or intimidate the Warren Commission in the process.  

I can definitely believe the Trafficante family in Tampa along with the anti-Castro Cubans being involved in the JFK assassination. It really doesn’t seem that far fetched, IMO.

That's relatively true the last 30-40 years.  But the mob still does have secrets - they couldn't get anyone to rat on Capone, had to settle for tax evasion.  And the ones at the top of the mob are pretty sophisticated.  Reason they were so hard to bring down was because they became very skilled at compartmentalizing information and "need to know".

In some cases I'd agree with you, that too many people would have had to know for it to remain a secret.  In other cases, like Hoffa or JFK, you're making an assumption that such a conspiracy would involve too many people when that isn't necessarily the case.  Although I'd grant the mob welcomes infamy and few, if any, would have taken those stories to their grave.
